How are you all? The recent freezing cold weather has been harsh on most of us. I never knew the weather would turn out so cold, or else I would have got some stylish and stunning looking jackets before-hand. But it’s not too late! I think I will have to go winter shopping now. With all the big sales going on, I am sure most of you might have stocked up more than what you need. I have done so! I wasn’t sure how this shade would look, because the shade card on the online website was so small. But still, Mom and me thought of getting it and trying how it looks on us. The range is pretty famous, so I had rather high expectations from it.

My/Mom’s Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color – Sable:
Maybelline Moisture Range is something that’s talked about a lot in the current beauty scene. People who haven’t tried this should surely do so, as it is soo creamy and has beautiful shades lined-up in the range.
Starting off with the packaging, which the most boring part of the lip color. Maybelline should revamp the packaging to something better and the sales will definitely increase, because the range has it all, except the dull packaging. It has a metallic brown finish and a twisty bottom. That’s all. The quantity is good for the price.
The texture is very soft, but not easily breakable. It is completely matte with a hint of shine. It actually looks like caramel which is molded into the shape of a bullet! The shade Sable is a brown with yellowish undertones. The shade resembles that of a Caramel Chocolate. There is no fragrance to it.
This is a shade that could draw a lot of attention to your lips. Just one swipe is needed for the color to fully appear on the lips. I wish it was a little lighter, because I am not comfortable with such dark vampish looking lip colors.
It glides on like butter on a toast. The consistency is very smooth. Just one swipe and you have that beautiful caramel color on your lips! It gives a nice sheen as well, which makes the lips appear fuller. This shade actually makes the skin color look super bright, because the shade is on the darker side. I think this shade will suit only those with fair to wheatish skin tones. People who have a tan or dusky skin should avoid it, as it will make the complexion look even darker. It does not bleed from the corners and does not settle into fine lines.
Coming to the name ‘Moisture extreme’; Yes, it excelled in this aspect. The extent of moisture that it provides is incredible. Even in winters, you will not need a lip balm beneath for hydration, the lip color does it all. It nicely stayed on mom’s lips for 4 hours, although she did not have snacks; just had water.
This is not a shade that everyone would not prefer. Only people who are into brown lipiies may like this one.
In conclusion, I would say, this range is very affordable and a must try!

Cons of Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color – Sable:
- Packaging is very boring
- After it turns matte, lips might need a little moisture, after 3 hours or so
- The shade is restricted to a certain age group; the younger crowd wouldn’t prefer such a shade
- Suits only those with a fair complexion; because this brown is super dark and will make dusky skin look pale and darker
- Gives a total vampish look
Will I/Mom Repurchase/Recommend Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lip Color – Sable?
The shade is too dark for my comfort. I couldn’t even apply it lightly, because the pigmentation is very intense and I get full colour in just 1 swipe. I wish it had been a little lighter, so that it could be used as a daily wear.

Conclusion: I would love to buy a lot of shades from this range! This is the best texture I have used so far and saw that there were many bubbly shades too, so Maybelline I am coming!
