I am back again with my favourite brand Victoria’s Secret.  I recently went to the Beauty Shop and oh my God, their shelf displays are so damn attractive that none of us could return without getting anything and you know how VS and BBW stuff looks, can’t resist, right? They had like 30 different mists and almost 20 body lotions and then body scrubs, perfumes and everything that just belongs to this girly brand.  So, I picked up many things from VS and here is one of them.

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret Romantic Wish Hand and Body Cream:

Without talking much about the most feminine brand, I will straight on move to the review of this amazing body cream from VS. The main reason I pick their stuff is due to their glamorous packaging. This cream comes in a glorious pink packaging with a metallic finish and its really easy to spot such girly stuff on the shelves, at least in my case. The cap is a flip open one and does not break my nails.  This is a huge tube, so cannot be carried around for re-application; however, if you are going out of town, then this is pretty travel friendly.  Now, this one belongs to the classics collection from VS, so the availability is limited.  VS has such a huge range of such lotions and creams, so it is very difficult to pick one, as all the fragrances are equally great, so I ended up getting a few of them.

This cream has a thick consistency and it is more like a body butter rather than a cream or a lotion. The cream is a light baby pink colour, but it looks white in the pictures.  Even though thick in consistency, it glides very smoothly on the skin and does not leave the skin greasy or oily. As soon as you apply, it gets absorbed.  The fragrance is a very romantic one as the name suggests and also feminine.  The fragrance is like a blend of red fruits specially cherries and watermelon and it is indeed super fruity. This would be a great buy for people who love fruity fragrances. The scent is pretty sweet and you will somehow relate it to strawberries  or raspberries, but not exactly the same.

The fragrance lasts for like 3 hours on my skin revealing the sweet scent and if layered up with other products from the “Romantic Wish” range, it would easily last for 6-7 hours because the mists are very strong. The main con with this one is that it does not have any SPF and for Mumbai summers, its a big no no.  However, I would adjust a bit in winters. It keeps my skin hydrated all day even in winters, but obviously, you need to reapply after 4 hours or so to make it smell fresh again.  I can term it as a very good pick for people who like wearing romantic fragrances.

Pros of Victoria’s Secret Romantic Wish Hand and Body Cream:

• Good amount of quantity provided, will last for 6 months at least.
• Very attractive packaging.
• Texture is like body butter, so only a little is needed each time.
• The fragrance is a very feminine and fruity one and smells like cherries and watermelon.
• The fragrances lasts for 3 hours on the skin and even more if used along with the “Romantic Wish” range of products.
• The body cream is very moisturizing and hydrating for the skin and is very good for winters as well.
• Does not leave a greasy film behind and gets absorbed almost instantly.

Cons of Victoria’s Secret Romantic Wish Hand and Body Cream:

• Does not have SPF.
• Limited availability.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Victoria’s Secret Romantic Wish Hand and Body Cream?

Yes, I would surely recommend it to those who love feminine and fruity fragrances and also because the packaging is irresistible. I don’t think I will pick it again because there are so many VS lotions, so I would love to try something different.

Lip balms! Lip balms! Lip balms! I think that has become the most important thing of our lives currently. This is one of my lip balms that is the one of the best things that I got from my US haul. The name and the packaging is so girly that I had to pick atleast one of these cuties and now I feel I should have picked up all of these. Covergirl is a brand that I have always had a soft corner for and then getting stuff from it made me unconditionally excited. They have these smoochies lip alms and lip glosses as well which look equally cute but I always had a preference for balms. Let’s see how this beauty worked for me.

My experience with Covergirl lipslicks smoochies lip balm in Luv u:

Initially these were called only “Covergirl lipslicks” and they looked a bit boring to people I guess so they innovated and made the packaging and the names more fun and exciting thereby making it look very colourful and attractive. I got the one in the shade Luv u because I always like pink lip tints which make the lip balm look very natural. First talking about the new packaging, they are super cute and gorgeous with a green bottom and a pink inner packaging which basically resembles the colour of the lip balm so you can take a quick decision which one to pick. Also the outer lid is transparent and all that cute things written over it like oxxo and smoochies and stuff. The packaging is very convenient to use and you can carry it along easily. These are drugstore lip balms so are super good in quality and affordable too. They have a very wide variety to pick from and trust me all the shades are stunning and sweet.

This is more of designed for office or college going girls who need to pucker up  everyday with something that looks natural and not overpowering too. The texture is very soft and delicate and glides very smoothly on the lips but it might feel a little waxy. It gives a very nice pink tint to my lips which looks very natural and dolly types. This could be used any which ways alone or even under a lipstick. My lips always look full and glow because of the great glossy shine that it provides. You get a sweet berry fragrance when you apply it but it soon fades out. The main issue with this one is that it won’t survive a lot on your lips, it may last upto 2 hours and then the lips may feel flaky and a bit dry but as soon as you apply it. What I really like about this lip balm is that although the moisture fades away, the mild pink stain is left behind.

Pros of Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm – Luv u:

-Drugstore brand so very affordable.

-The packaging is super fun and attractive and they come in gorgeous colours too.
-They have a range of 12 shades which is far more better than the other lip balm brands.
-Their names are so creative and innovative and each one matches its shades.
-The texture of the lip balm is soft and creamy and glides very easily on the lips.
-The colour pay-off is quite good of this one and gives a nice pink tint to my lips along with a subtle shine which completes the look.
-Even after the lips balm fades, this one leaves a nice pink stain on my lips which lasts for 4-5 hours
-Moisturizing till the time it is there on my lips
-A very handy one for all the college and office going women .

Cons of Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm – Luv u:

-It starts to flake and get dry after a while.
-The lasting power is 2 hours (Not a con for me as I am fine with touch-ups).

Will I repurchase/recommend Covergirl Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm – Luv u?
Yes for sure. I will definitely recommend these are as they great and glam at packaging, the texture is lovely and the tints are very natural but pick up darker shades if you want a nice tint to your lips and I seriously felt that I should have atleast got 4 or 5 instead of getting just one and I will want to get it if at all I can again get a haul from US.

Marks & Spencer Lavender Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Cream

I am so sad since yesterday because Lakme is coming to my college and I cannot sit for an interview because I missed two presentations of some other companies, so I am not eligible for it. I always wanted to get some work which I am good at and after joining IMBB I don’t think I will be scared of any competitor girl because I have gained so much knowledge about the company.

Anyways I am going to try something off campus because I am certainly not made for a job with a lot of papers and office work lol. Getting back from the sob mode, today’s review is a shower cream. I have already reviewed the Magnolia variant and I got this set as a gift and when I got it I was like oh my god, why again? I mean I already had that 500 ml bottle to finish but not being rude I accepted it cheerfully and thanked my aunt a lot.

Price: Rs 600 for 500 ml

What Marks & Spencer say: With a traditional relaxing fragrance of lavender, this foam bath gently cleanses and moisturises leaving skin soft and delicately fragranced.

My take on Marks & Spencer Lavender Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Cream:

This particular range has 7 to 8 items and there are many different variants such as the rose, lily of valley, iris etc. They all come in beautiful and elegant looking bottles, I got magnolia fragrance for myself and my aunt gifted me this lavender one recently. I wanted to try the rose one because first I really like rose flower and second it just smells blissful and soft.

The shower cream and foaming essence/bath cream are not the same although they look alike, both vary in texture and smell. I have both the products and feel that I’ll have a tough time in finishing them up because I really get bored of the same smell quickly. Coming to this one, it comes in a big fat cylindrical plastic bottle and is not at all travel friendly. But it has a floral design all over and looks so damn gorgeous. Also the cap is a little transparent white in colour and looks classy. I don’t think so there was a small size in this one so got the big one. It will surely last for 3 months even if used everyday.

The one thing that I did not like about the packaging design is that it has a very big mouth which gives out a lot of product than needed, which further results in wastage. It comes in a shimmery lilac colour which may actually look silverish in the pictures and the consistency is runny unlike the shower cream. It lathers up quite well with the help of a loofah. Coming to the fragrance, it is a pure floral one. Genuinely telling it did not smell like lavender because I have many other lavender products and they are far better than this one. It has a weird floral scent, something I wouldn’t like my body smelling like. However the fragrance liking differs from person to person, so sniff it yourself before picking it up. I have mixed feelings about the smell as it becomes a little too much after using it for a few days. The fragrance stays on the body for like an hour after taking bath and then completely goes away. It is moisturising enough on the skin and one may skip a body lotion, alteast oily skinned beauties, after using it. However you might want to reconsider skipping body lotions in dry winter months. Overall it was okay for me as I am not a big fan of lavender fragrances but people who love floral fragrances may like this one.

Pros of Marks & Spencer Lavender Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Cream:

-Nicely priced and available everywhere
-Quantity is like too much which will work out for 3 months minimum
-People who love floral fragrances will totally like the floral collection of this brand
-The smell is a floral one; so floral fans will not complain but the fruity fragrances might
-The packaging is super attractive and looks royal on the shelf
-It smells luxurious and rich while taking bath
-The fragrance lingers for a while after taking bath
-It cleans up the skin very well and lathers well too
-It moisturises the skin nicely after taking bath but not during winters

Cons of Marks & Spencer Lavender Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Cream:

-It does not have a hole in between for the product to come out and the mouth is too big that a lot of time the product gets wasted
-Super big and sturdy to not travel friendly
-People who do not like floral fragrances are not going to like this
-Need of a separate moisturiser in winters
-It did not smell good to me I mean I that lovely lavender smell was missing somewhere but depends upon you how you like it

Will I repurchase/recommend Marks & Spencer Lavender Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Cream?

Fruity fragrance lovers do stay away from this one as this is something unique and everyone will not like this smell. However people use to floral fragrances, try this out but even when I haven’t used the rose one I would tell you to try that because I sniffed it and it smelled better than magnolia or lavender. I don’t have plan to get this one for years because I think it will take me a long time to finish it off.

China Glaze Liquid Crystal Nail Lacquer

Nail polishes are one of the adorable things that I have so many that I actually would get worn-out to count them , I love my nails unconditionally and that is what makes me to pick at least 3 nail paints a week. I haven’t used many glittery shades but these were very pretty so I picked them up to just see how I can carry these glittery shades. These are my first purchase from the brand “China Glaze” and I loved them so I would like to invest in a few more matte shades as well. Let’s see a brief review of the liquid crystal.

Liquid crystal-Aqua blue glimmers hint of purple filled with pink, yellow, silver, orange and green flecks.

My experience with China glaze in liquid crystal:

Liquid crystal belongs to the range called “China glaze prismatic spring collection”. I had many shades to choose from but I was confused between blue and pink and to remove the confusion I picked up both. The shades from this range are all glittery ones with a hint of colour in it and have 6 shades to choose from. Basically all the shades revolve somewhere around silver but gives a light shine of the colour it contains. This nail paint comes in a big  trademark bottle and has a sparkly grey cap which compliments the shade in the bottle. It is travel friendly but a little huge and heavier than our normal sized nail enamels.

Talking about the shade I am little confused whether to call this colour a purple one or a blue one. But after observing a lot what I think is that it has multi-coloured glitter particles but more of blue and dark pink particles and the particles are actually blue but the pink and blue blend gives it a purple dazzle. It also has some orange and green flecks but very little in quantity so they do not make a major change in the shade. The consistency is beautiful and the nail enamel can be applied with ease. A good amount of 2-3 coats are required for the colour to appear opaque as in one coat is appears a little transparent.

The best part about this is quick drying because I just cannot stand nail paints that dry up after half an hour because I have a constant habit to caress my fingers around my hair. It dries up in about 7-8 minutes which is pretty fast. After application it looks amazing and gorgeous. It is a bit matte and I always apply a top coat on it to seal on the glitter and also to provide a dazzling shine. It complements the skin tone really well in the morning but I would say that this is best for night-time, a perfect one for clubbing because the real glaze and sparkle is seen then. One of the major cons with this is the removal part. The nails have to be rubbed abrasively with nail polish remover for 10 to 12 times for this nail paint to actually come off since the particles are pretty hard and then too the glitter particles are stuck here and there on my hand which is pretty annoying. So I always keep this for a week and only then remove it because it is a tedious job. It has hardeners too which help maintain the strength of the nails and does not let it break easily and the nail paint remained as it is for a week after sealing it with top coat.So on a good note I would say that this is a great brand to invest in and this doesn’t get over soon, so look out for the shades you like!

Pros of China Glaze Liquid Crystal Nail Lacquer

-Attractive packaging and 6 shades from this range to choose from
-It contains nail hardeners which prevents the nails from chipping
-Glittery shades look gorgeous at night time and looks very girly during the day time
-The consistency and the brush of the nail paint both are equally smooth
-It is a beautiful colour that will match almost all the outfits
-The nail paint dried up in 7-8 minutes which is a pretty good thing
-The glitters are very unique and gives us a change from the normal day to day nail paints
-India has made many shades available too in certain shops and online stores
-The nail colour remained as it is for 1 week when used with top coat

Cons of China Glaze Liquid Crystal Nail Lacquer

-The colour is a bit matte and a top coat has be used on it to make it look very glossy
-The removal part is a tedious job because it took more time than applying nail paint; the particles are sticky and big so the nails have to be rubbed roughly and that might chip the nails
-Expensive

Will I recommend/repurchase China glaze liquid crystal?

Yes I do recommend this as this collection is very pretty and looks great and unique at times. The drying time is amazing and looks alluring on the nails. I will want to try some matte shades from china glaze as I already have to glittery ones.

I am stuck with exams but I seriously am not a girl who can study the whole day, I can study for maximum 4 hours in the entire day and beyond that it becomes unbearable and I just fall off to sleep and don’t seem to get up till the exam time in the morning. But I have to refresh myself everyday by reading your beautiful reviews and sharing some too. So this is another nail paint of the 2 nail colours that I got from China glaze prismatic spring collection. Let’s see how this one looked on me.

Actually at the time of getting these I somehow decided to get two but it wasn’t really necessary getting these because just the glaze is different, the base looks almost the same. Full spectrum belongs to the range called “China glaze prismatic spring collection”. Before I began let me confess that I am not sure if this product is a new launch, I am a bit confused as it has the tag of the new launch but the manufacturing date shows September 2013. Anyways I got this because there are not many neem packs availablein the market so the moment I saw this at the drugstore I picked it up. This face pack basically contains neem extracts and turmeric which are both very good for oily and acne-prone skin.

This pack comes in a peacock blue and green colour tube which looks pretty and is great to carry as it comes in a perfect travel size. It is even smaller than my palm so will fit into our normal sling bags as well. The cap is blue in colour and has normal turn around opening, the tube has a small hole which gives out a small amount at a time. A coin sized amount is needed for one application so I think this tube will give me around 9-10 uses which is good at a price it comes in. The face pack comes in a light bluish green colour and has some mini granules in it which are not that harsh and they were actually very gentle to the skin. The texture is thick but easily spreads on the face and neck too. But due to its thickness it takes time to apply since we have to take the product again and again. The fragrance is a fresh lemony one which smells exactly like the liril soaps or any other lemon soaps for instance. The fragrance is not that natural but is a perfumed one. They have mentioned that it may cause a brief tingling sensation and it did on my face, it was stinging a lot on the face like any other neem pack because they say it purifies your skin. It dried up in like 7-8 minutes completely but I kept it for 20 minutes and then washed it off. Now if you apply a thick layer than it is going to be really harsh for the skin while removing it because the thick layer takes time to come off so always apply a very thin layer so that it can be washed easily. It made my skin dry after use so I think this is not suitable for winters at all but made it soft after like 15 minutes and it looked clean and fresh and you can overcome the dullness of the face but there was no major glow on my face and no brightness too. Instead the Himalaya one gave me everything that this did not so my preference would be that for sure.

Pros of Everyuth Naturals 3-in-1 Neem Face Pack:

-A travel size so good to carry around
-Super affordable and despite of the price being so low they have kept the packaging pretty attractive in peacock blue and green
-Contains neem extract, turmeric and nano multi-vita which are very good for oily and acne prone skin
-Has a small hole so excess product does not come out and a coin sized amount is need at a time
-The consistency is very easy to spread and is thick enough to be there on the face without dripping
-The fragrance is a fresh lemony one and smells like some lemon soap eg. Liril
-It dried up pretty quickly so won’t waste a lot of time
-Has little beads which can be sued for exfoliation at the time of washing off the pack
-It made my skin soft and made it look healthy and everytime I use it the pimple size reduces the very next day

Cons of Everyuth Naturals 3-in-1 Neem Face Pack:

-Did not make my skin that glowing that actually turmeric would and the effects pretty much lasted only for a day
-As you can read the caution statement above, it was that what I experienced; a brief tingling and stinging sensation which was relaxed only after there was air-conditioner in front of me
-Made my skin a little dry and dry skinned people should totally avoid it in all the seasons not only winter
-The removal part would be harsh if a thick layer of the mask is applied as it takes time to come off

Will I repurchase/recommend it?

No I wouldn’t get it again because I liked the Himalaya one better than this as it was more exfoliating and made my face instantly fair and if at all I want to get a travel size then I will pick this one else not. I wouldn’t really recommend it as the effects lasted only for a day while the results from the Himalaya last pretty longer, so if interested in getting a neem one then get Himalaya.

Olay has been one of the trustworthy brands when it comes to picture-perfect skincare products especially for the middle-aged ladies. I have used so many Olay products like their face washes, their day and night creams and I actually do not have any complaints. IMBB was very generous enough to give me the opportunity to try this out as among given the options I would definitely select skin care because I don’t know I am never content with my face care and I always want my skin to look even healthier. And I would thank IMBB from the bottom of my heart as my mom could also share this with me and she liked this one a lot as serums do a really great job for ladies after their 40’s. So let’s see how this worked for my baby skin and how it worked for my mom’s skin; so this would give a perspective from both the sides as to what is does for the skin in 20’s and their 40’s.

My experience with Olay regenerist micro-sculpting serum

A lot of explanation is given about what it will do for the skin so will straight away jump to the packaging part. The box comes in a black and red packaging which looks exactly like the regenerist range that we have in India. The box is a big one and has all the ingredients and instructions written over it in a very good manner. This is a daily treatment so there would be faster results and this can be used before applying a moisturiser or on its own and there would be no need of applying a moisturiser because it is hydrating enough. The bottle initially looked like it was made upof glass but is made up of plastic is a deep maroon colour with a silver cap and the packaging is kept pretty simple and decent. It is exactly a palm sized bottle and a thin one so pretty easy to carry as well. It has a small pump dispenser which is very light and you can press it with ease. It gives out the right amount that would be needed in one go. A very small amount is needed at a time so this bottle goes a long way. The serum is actually peach-ish in colour with a glaze in it and shines. The consistency is not that runny, it is very smooth and blends on very easily on the skin within minutes and a good 1 minute massage makes it absorb completely. It may seem a little slippery on the face at the initial stage but as it gets absorbed the slippery feeling fades away. The fragrance is a soothing perfumed one and is very nice and appealing to the nose. I normally use it beneath my moisturiser but for a few days I used it alone. It gives a big boost of hydration instantly and the skin stays hydrated for 7-8 hours and the skin becomes extremely soft after you apply it. There wouldn’t be a  need of a moisturizer actually.

It can be used as a base for make-up for the make-up to spread flawlessly on the face. My skin always looked hydrated in the morning and it did not have a single dry patch on the face even in these harsh winters. Initially in the first week it did not show a major result on my skin because it is mainly meant for ageing kin so I was a little disappointed but I was wrong about it, after a week it started showing results. It makes my face look a bit chubby which I don’t like and this one after continuous use of 15-17 days made that area firm and now when I hit that area near the cheeks skin does not look saggy and this is the major thing that it did for me but after that it did actually nothing for me but kept my skin hydrated all day in winters too. This was all what it did for me but I liked how it kept my skin healthy and glowing all day.

Now let’s come to what it did for mom, this is more of a product designed for ageing skin. Me and my mom were using it for the same number of days but I think it showed  great results for her rather than me. My mom had a little sagging skin in between the eye and the nose area. That skin was totally gone and a lot more firm and tighter skin was revealed. It made her face toned and glowing. A little touch of youthfulness was added to her face after she used this. The fines lines on her forehead had started to fade so I can say that this does a great job for ageing as well as normal skin. Mom also applies it under the eye contour area and that area has also become firm, I wouldn’t advise to use it under the eye area but she applied it just above the cheeks and that made here the skin under the eye contour area firm as well. Now my mom’s ageing problem is solved to a great extent she is happy and also thanks IMBB. I have oily skin and acne-prone skin and my mom has oily skin but she never gets pimples or anything like me and this broke me out a little but the acne were pretty small and went away in a day or two. This serum can be compared to all the high-end brand ones but go for it as the price is less than the expensive similar serums and women between their 30’s and 45’s will love this. I would say that the claim to see the changes in 5 days isn’t that true because like any other skin product this takes time to work but a month will be more than enough for you to see the difference.

Pros of Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Serum

-The packaging is pretty decent and looks sophisticated
-Calls itself a daily treatment so it will give good and faster results if used daily morning and evening
-Comes in a pump dispenser bottle and the whole is very small so it gives out the necessary product
-A very very small amount is needed at a time and the texture is very thin and smooth and blends within seconds
-The fragrance is a perfumed powdery one but it is a lovely smell which is very soothing to the nose and the look of the serum is very shimmery and gorgeous
-It acts as a perfect and smooth base for make-up or any other moisturiser
-My mom is in her 40’s and she saw a lot more firmness in her sagging skin then mine; it made the area near the neck, the area between the eyes and the nose very firm and the face looked toned
-Every morning you get up with a glow and the face is fully treated with hydration
-Gets absorbed quickly unlike other serums and hydrated the skin from the very moment and the skin stays hydrated for like 8-9 hours
-Skin looks healthier after continuous use day and night and mom saw that her wrinkles and lines on the forehead were decreasing day by day

Cons of Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Serum

-It is on an expensive side
-Not available in Indian stores
-The effects will not be visible in 5 days as they claim on their website
-The texture is a bit slippery and you may find it to be extra silky initially when you apply it
-Does not contain SPF so I had to top it up with my day cream containing SPF

Will I repurchase/recommend Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Serum ?

Yes me and my mom will surely recommend this serum because it is great for all the skin types and it will keep the skin hydrated and firm and it will genuinely help the women in their 30’s and 40’s to look young and maintain their skin. This is going to go a long way so probably as soon as this gets over, me and my mom will pick one more because it helped both our skins to look healthy and glowing.

First of all, I missed IMBB a lot these past days, I had my exams followed by a trip.  My cousin is getting married soon, so to update my makeup kit for the functions, I got 3 lip liners from Essence. I love how the stuff from this brand looks and is very affordable too. I got two shades for myself (those have already been reviewed) and this one was for mom.

What essence says about lip liners?

My Take on Essence Lip Liner in Soft Berry:

These lip liners come in 7-8 shades and all are beautiful, but I picked up a red, pink and this one. This one comes in a maroon brown shade wooden pencil with a silver cap. The best part is that the shelf life is 3 years, so you can finish it off without any rush before it expires.  Its very thin, so handy. Talking about the texture, it is very creamy and I was hoping not to get a hard one as I have used many liners whose texture is pretty rough. This is very soft and glides amazingly on the lips. It can be used as a lip liner for lipsticks as well as a base; I normally use it as a base due to the lovely matte effect that it gives. Matte lovers will surely love these lip liners.

The lip liner does not settle in fine lines and has a very good pigmentation which would work great for pigmented lip as well. It is completely fragrance free. The shade is a beautiful plum brown which looks like the one in swatches for initial 2 hours, but then starts turning into a proper plum shade – both variations look equally good. It may transfer a little on to glasses and tissues since the colour is very bright and the texture is creamy.  It instantly brightens up any skin tone and lasts on the lips for 5 hours with light snacks and water; however, full meals won’t let it last for more than 2 hours. Like other lip liners, the sharpening process causes a lot of wastage.

This is a shade that will suit any outfit and it is pretty affordable too, so I will tell all of you to try this out. It is available in beauty shops all over Mumbai, so look out for them and try these gorgeous colours out.

• The texture is very creamy and not like the other lip pencils which are hard.

Yes, I absolutely recommend the lip liners from Essence because all the shades are equally beautiful and they last really long and are highly pigmented too. I already have 3 shades from this brand, so will finish them up.

How are you all doing? I hope everyone is enjoying the chilling winters along with that subtle sunlight. I recently got some stuff from US and this was the only face cream that I ordered; I didn’t order many because they take a long time to finish and to show results. The claim “Fade cream” attracted me to get this because I have a problem with acne scars, so had to give this a try.

My take on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Fade Cream:

This face cream is basically made for pregnant women who face discolouration issues but anyone with such a problem can use it. It comes in a peach and a white coloured tub and box which explains everything about the cream. The tub is made up of glass so not that travel friendly and due to tub packaging it is really difficult to get the cream after a point of time. The consistency of the cream is really thick and I have not yet seen a cream as thick as this one but because of the thickness a very less amount is needed. It is white in colour and has a floral fragrance, one which smells exactly like fresh lilies as they say. The fragrance vanishes after some time.

The cream does contain SPF so I use it during the day as well. It gets absorbed into the skin very soon and so any massage for the facial skin is not possible. I have been using it for over a month and have already noticed the difference in my skin since the 2nd week of use. It makes my skin very soft and supple in the morning which helps in even application of make-up. I have always faced issues with acne scars but this cream has really helped me to solve that skin issue to the highest level. My dark spots are lightened to a very good extent and I could actually see that because I have a lot of scars on my cheeks. Also some areas on my face looked pretty dark and dull but it helped in that matter as well. I had noticed that after a month each part of the face looked even toned and plus I noticed a good amount of fairness in my skin. I loved this cream and so far would rate it as the best cream I have used so far.

Pros of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Fade Cream:

-A very good description about the product is given
-A very little product is needed to be used at a time and can be used at morning as well at night time
-The packaging is very decent and attractive
-It has a very lovely fragrance which is floral exactly resembles lilies
-It is very thick in consistency and hence it gets absorbed in like 10 seconds
-Gives a clean look to the face and makes it look eventoned every time you apply it
-It perfectly lightened up my acne scars and actually made my skin look fair after using it for more than a month
-The discolouration has totally gone and my face looks a lot more even-toned
-Makes my skin very soft and supple when I get up the very next day

Cons of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Fade Cream:

-Tub packaging which is made of glass so not that convenient to dip in fingers and to carry as well
-No time to massage it because it gets absorbed instantly
-Face may feel a little heavy after application

Will I repurchase/recommend Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Eventone Fade Cream?

Yes I want one more pot because this is actually the best cream so far for my skin and I love it unconditionally. Since this is not available here I will have to wait one more year. People with uneven skin tone or acne scars for sure try this one out and I am sure you will like it just like me!

Marks and Spencer Lavender Moisturising Hand and Body Lotion

Hello gorgeous ladies,

I enjoyed shopping a lot few days back as there was flat 50% off sale at all infinity malls, inorbit and lifestyle. I bought some stuff from catwalk and global desi but, sadly there was no discount on fragrances. Anyway, today I’ll be sharing my last product from Marks and Spencer lavender range.

Price: Rs 225 (I got it in the kit but it will cost somewhere around this price)

Product description: Capturing the fragrance of sweet lavender, this hand and body lotion conditions and nourishes skin leaving it beautifully scented, soft and smooth.

Directions: Massage all over your body and hands as required for smooth, soft skin.

Key ingredients: Lavender extract, glycerin.

My take on Marks and Spencer Lavender Moisturising Hand and Body Lotion:

I think this range and the entire floral collection is designed for people who love pure floral fragrances, people who love fruity ones will like these products only for a few days. What I would advise the fruity lovers and infact all the people is that don’t just go and buy a kit like me until and unless you want to gift it to someone, try one product and if you like the smell then go for the same range products. I have this lotion in medium size so it is great for travelling .The packaging is serene and purely represents the lavender colour. It comes in a tube with a transparent cap. The lotion itself is white in colour but, I suppose we cannot call it a lotion, because lotions are always runny and this is moderately thick and not runny at all.

It glided very smoothly on my skin and a very little amount is needed for the body. The fragrance is very floral and this is the only thing in the entire range that actually smelled like lavender to me. Though I don’t like floral fragrance yet I liked how it smelled on me. The fragrance lasts on the skin for less than an hour because of its mild nature. It absorbs as soon as it is applied and there is no need to massage it. I like that it did not make my skin any oily or greasy but I do not think it will be suitable for people who have very dry skin especially during winter and I think in summers the skin might feel a bit greasy but not much. It kept my skin hydrated for like 3-4 hours but, then I could feel a need of moisture as well the fragrance because I do not like body lotions whose fragrance does not last long. The second thing is that it does not contain SPF and SPF is a must for me, so that disappointed a little. Overall I loved how it made my skin soft but I think I can never become loyal to floral fragrances.

-Affordable and available at the M & S stores too
-A very floral fragrance and smells like sweet lavender and this has the best fragrance from the entire range
-Very easy to spread on the skin and only a pea sized amount is needed
-Absorbs as soon as applied
-Does not make the skin greasy or oily
-Makes the skin very smooth and supple
-A very attractive and royal packaging
-A small hole for the product to come out

Cons of Marks and Spencer Lavender Moisturising Hand and Body Lotion:

-The size is very small so will get over in 20 days if applied daily
-It is a fragrance which all may not like especially the fruity fragrance lovers
-Does not contain SPF
-Fragrance lasts only for less than an hour because the fragrance is quite subtle and mild

Will I repurchase/ recommend it?

Yes it is great for daily application and people who like floral fragrance will love this as the smell is very fresh but I think people like me who like fruity fragrances will get irritated with this smell in a few days. Body lotions from the entire kits are the best and that is what I have observed in the magnolia as well as the lavender range.

Purederm Potato Essence Mask Review

Hello sweeties,

I had a big stack of Purederm masks, but I loved them so much that they got over very soon and on my last visit to the Beauty Shop, I got a few more for myself as I am going on a travel.  This was something unique that I saw at the counter as it claimed to be a potato mask and I have not seen a potato mask before, so I was keen on trying this out. Let’s see how this unique mask worked for me.

My Experience with Purederm Potato Essence Mask:

I got only one sheet mask from Purederm and that’s this one because the potato thing was something that I wanted to try. Potato is known to reduce skin darkening and dullness, so there was a bit of expectation before trying this. It came in a white plastic packet which is very travel friendly and the price also very reasonable for one-time use. The sheet was pure white in colour and looked like it was completely soaked in the serum as the quantity of the serum looked pretty good. It properly fitted onto my face but the eye and the lip area was a bit small for me and I had to pull it down from my eye area after 5 minutes so that the serum did not enter my eyes.

The fragrance was a nice one and yes, it doesn’t smell like a typical potato! The moment I put it on, I felt relaxed and I started to feel a cooling and soothing effect which is great when you are tired, you just feel a lot more pampered. For the first 15 minutes, it stuck on perfectly and later on when the serum started getting absorbed, the mask started to loosen up. I removed it after 20 minutes and a little serum was there on my face which I massaged in and yes my face definitely looked glowing and fresh. The boost of hydration that it gave to my face was amazing, no dryness or dullness on the face at all. My face remained cool even after I removed the sheet and the skin was extremely soft.  It was refreshing.  But as with all other Purederm masks, the effect lasts for only a day, but that was fine for me.  At the price, even if the mask’s effect lasts for a day, then that would be good actually. I will surely recommend you guys to try it out when you have to attend some special occasion, you will look fresh all day!

Pros of Purederm Potato Essence Mask:

• Super easy to use and no need to put an effort like in cream face packs.
• Affordable, travel-friendly packaging.
• Suitable for all skin types and this was a perfect size for my face because most of the sheet masks are so huge in size, but this fitted on my face nicely.
• The serum of the mask is great in quantity and the sheet is fully soaked in it, so the skin gets a boost of hydration.
• It gives a nice soothing sensation to my skin and it feels very relaxed.
• I think it can be used twice immediately by turning it around because a lot of serum still remains on the sheet.
• My skin felt very soft and when I touched my face, it was extremely cold.
• Skin was glowing for a day and looked very fresh.
• The mask had taken away all the dullness and dryness from the face.
• Did not irritate my skin.

Cons of Purederm Potato Essence Mask:

• Although the size of the mask was perfect for my face, the eye area and the mouth area was a bit small.
• Limited availability.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Purederm Potato Essence Mask?

Yes, I may repurchase it because this is something that you can use instantly, its travel friendly, gives beautiful and glowing skin for your special day, so yes why not? I will recommend this one because it amazingly soothes up tired skin and will give you everything that a sheet mask can.

I finally got my semester 5 board exams results and I cleared and right now while writing this review, I feel like I am the happiest person on earth. I hope all the BMSites have cleared the exams.  Congrats to all those who have! Coming to the product, it is a mini lip gloss from Essence.  I got quite a few items from this brand and this was one of my picks. This range of glossy lip balms had many shades to choose from and there were all sort of shades like pinks, purples, reds, etc. I picked the red one and here’s the review.

My Take on Essence Glossy Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss:

I went to visit the store and Essence was one brand that attracted me the most due to all the colourful items that were arranged there. I just couldn’t stop myself from picking up the stuff. I got this lip balm in the flavour “Cherry Kiss” just because it was red and I like it a lot when my lips look red or pink. The packaging is extremely sweet and girly and the red gloss can be seen through the tube.

The slant tip and a nozzle make it very convenient to use and it is so tiny that it may fit anywhere. The texture of the gloss is a bit heavy and sticky, but I think the stickiness is pretty mild. One drop will cover the lips totally. It provides a rich glossy shine which makes the lips appear fuller and the shine stays on till the gloss is on, so that is the best part. Not only shine but it also provides good colour pay-off.

The shade is a red one and the lips actually appear red and shiny and it totally gives a doll look. The red colour does not settle in fine lines and does not even bleed, but it smells nothing of cherries, has a little bubble-gum fragrance which I think everyone may not like. It went into my mouth and tasted very sweet actually.

It lasted on me for like 3 hours considering I don’t have snacks or sips of water continuously. With snacks, it will stay for less than 2 hours. Overall, I pretty much love this gloss and currently I am carrying it wherever I go because this is apt for day time and night time as well and looks good with subtle eye makeup and heavy eye makeup too; it is actually helpful to finish up any look.

Pros of Essence Glossy Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss:

• Looks very cute and easy to carry around.
• Application is easy with the slant tip.
• Comes in 6-7 shades and flavours.
• Gives an equal amount of glossiness and tint to the lips.
• Makes the lips appear fuller.
• The gloss stays for 3 hours on the lips without eating or drinking.
• Smells like bubble gum and tastes very sweet too.
• Suitable with all kinds of looks.
• Keeps lips hydrated.

Cons of Essence Glossy Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss:

• Not easily available.
• Does not smell like cherries at all.
• People with pigmented lips may find this lip balm sheer.
• It feels a little bit sticky.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Essence Glossy Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss?

Yes, I surely recommend this one as it is suitable for every occasion, be it everyday wear or a date or a party because it just finishes up every look, gives a very dazzling shine which all the girls love and you have a lot many flavours and shades to choose from. I might get this one or some other flavour again.

I was eagerly waiting for these mists to be tried and took them with me for my recent trip. I tried approximately 5 mists but my mind was fixed on this one. Let’s get into details about this one.

My take on Bath and body works the sweethearts sexy dahlia rush fragrance mist

This fragrance mist belongs to the sweethearts range of BBW and I think this range has 3 mists and this is one of the 3. Talking about this one, it comes in a beautiful and gorgeous looking purple cylindrical bottle along with a silver spray nozzle which is very easy to use and does not become tight or rust in any case. It is pretty heavy and huge in size so cannot be easily carried but somehow I carry it because I love the fragrance. This fragrance just boosts up the confidence I don’t how but it is at least for me. The fragrance is indeed a very sexy and a feminine one. Once you spray it you just start feeling very sensuous and sophisticated. It smells very sweet and I think this is a fragrance that will be appealing to almost everyone because it doesn’t concentrate on a fruity or a floral side, its powdery. It opens with wild berries and plums which is not that mid and not that strong too.

Somewhere after some time you can start smelling juicy peaches and bergamot and these were the only prominent smells that I could recognize. It lasts on the skin more than it lasts on the clothes so I normally spray it on the skin too. It lasts for a couple of hours precisely say 3 hours and then it starts to fade but you can smell it on yourself but the other will not be able too. It is a romantic fragrance as well and refreshes up the mood when sprayed. It may last pretty longer with the same body lotion but my hard luck that I couldn’t find it. I think 4-5 spritz were enough for it to last upto 3 hours and then to again get that fresh lovely fragrance you have to spray it again. This fragrance can be used any time during the day and night as well. Well concluding, I would say that I am in love with this fragrance and will never regret buying this infact really happy that I picked this one.

Essence 2-in-1 Volume Mascara Review

Hello sweeties,

I recently got a lot of Essence stuff due to their cuteness as well as the way they are priced. I can surely categorize it as a brand, which is specially designed for college goers and office-going people. I was searching for their stuff and picked up the mascara too. This looked totally great and this was obviously better than the others because it is a 2-in-1 mascara and I have never tried something like that before. So, let’s see how this double benefit mascara worked for me.

Rs. 299 for 10 ml.

Look 2: Over-sized volume.

My Experience with Essence 2-in-1 Volume Mascara:

The packaging of this mascara attracted me a lot, its purple and hot pink and looks super girly and I love to have such stuff in my kitty. It is very travel friendly and the main benefit is that it helps me create two looks with the help of one mascara as there is no need to carry two different mascaras.  The quantity is really great because I am using it since the last 3 months and it still seems to have a lot of product left.  This being a drugstore brand is cheap as compared to other mascaras. It has two different caps.

Initially, when I started using it, I thought there would be two different brushes and while opening the first one, I got a wand and when I opened the second one, I thought I broke the wand and it’s inside the bottle Later on, I came to know that there is only one wand to create two looks.  In the first one, the brush is pretty thin and in the second look, there comes out a fat brush which gives out more mascara on the wand and when you pull it down, the excess mascara gets collected on the rim of the fat brush and then the thinner one has less of mascara which gives the first look.

The first one is basically designed for a day time look and looks perfect on my lashes, the way I want.  It looks very natural and gives volume, but a little less. The second look however gives extremely voluminous lashes and looks great for a dramatic night-time look. It looks very attractive; however, the only con is that it does not take time to clump up and the lashes stick together making it look weird at times.

This one is not waterproof, so in case it comes in contact with water, you will have raccoon eyes and it easily goes off with water.  The effect lasts all day long and that’s the best part. Overall, I am very happy that I discovered this one because it has double benefits.

Pros of Essence 2-in-1 Volume Mascara:

• Affordable.
• Looks super girly and cute.
• Comes with double benefit, you can create a decent look for day time and voluminous look for night time.
• The mascara lasts all day and lengthens the lashes.
• The first look doesn’t look clumpy at all and is great for every day wear.
• It is pretty easy to apply.

Cons of Essence 2-in-1 Volume Mascara:

• The second look makes the lashes clumpy and makes my lashes stick to each other making it look weird.
• Not waterproof.
• Takes a bit of time to dry up, hence have to be careful.
• It is not one of the best mascaras from Essence.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Essence 2-in-1 Volume Mascara?

Yes, I will for the fact that you can get two looks with just one mascara and the looks come out good except for the second one which clumps easily. It is very cost effective and super fun to use and great for everyday wear. I am about to finish this one, so till the time I discover a new one, I am going to keep on using this and also buy one more if needed.

Everytime I visit stores or malls, I always feel like buying tonnes of Victoria’s Secret and BBW body mists even though I am well aware of the fact that I do not have any space left in my closet and should wait before splurging on new amazing mists and perfumes. I recently got 2 BBW and VS body mists and today I am going to review one of them. As my mom also wanted to use body mist, we picked up something that would suit both of us. Let’s read more about this one called “Moonlight Path”.

Our Take on Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path Fragrance Mist:

My mom wanted something with a mild fragrance. Initially when she tried it on she liked it and we bought it but after using it for few days she could not stand its smell any more, it became a bit irritating for her.

The mist comes in those big cylindrical bottles which all look the same but are pretty difficult to carry due to their size. The outer packaging is dark blue and purple in colour and the product inside also looks somewhat blue. The nozzle is silver and pretty convenient to use. In my opinion the fragrance is pure floral and really mild, 5-6 spritz must be sprayed in order to get the fragrance on your clothes or skin. It smells mainly of jasmines and lilies. The smell is very fresh since it is a floral one but I actually don’t like such fragrances because I have always been a fan of those wild ones. The fragrance is very mild so it doesn’t last that long, it barely lasted for an hour and then we had to spray it again. If 5-6 sprays are not sprayed then it probably wouldn’t even last an hour. The fragrance is a subtle one and is best suitable for the age group above 40’s who want to smell great and also decent enough and mature. It is not at all designed for people below 40’s until and unless you are an extreme floral fragrance fan. My aunt had a body lotion from this range and I tried it once along with this one and then it lasted for about 3 hours but they smelled too powdery all together.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path Fragrance Mist:

-Very good quantity and one bottle lasts for a period of more than 3 months
-A very good variety of variants available
-Decent packaging and a convenient spray nozzle
-Affordable because the quantity is enormous and it belongs to a very reputed brand
-The fragrance is a pure floral one with the opening scents of lavender and jasmines
-It smells very fresh and relaxing and totally creates a calm environment
-It lasts upto 3-4 hours if used a long with the same body lotion

Cons of Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path Fragrance Mist:

-Big bottle so not travel friendly
-This variant has a limited availability
-It is a very mature fragrance and most of the people will not like it
-Barely lasts upto one hour because the fragrance is very mild and subtle
-A lot many sprays are to be sprayed at once for the fragrance to perfectly come up

Will I repurchase/recommend it?

Not at all, me or my mom will never buy such floral fragrance ever again because we have hardly used it and it gets really difficult to finish it up. Also I will always test the fragrances by spraying them rather than picking them up just by sniffing the nozzle. I will not even recommend it because it is a very boring fragrance and there are lot many better options from BBW to go with.

Purederm Invigorating Foot Scrub – Walnut

I hope everyone is loving the weather. I am totally enjoying the winter along with a hint of sunshine. I had a long vacation and now since only 2 months left for graduation, I have to complete everything  I missed in college and life seems totally depressed with all those books after so much fun that I had. Anyways coming to this one, I got 3 purederm packets for myself and this is the second one I am reviewing. I took this with me on the trip to get clean feet throughout the wedding functions. Let’s see how it worked for me.

What purederm says about Purederm Invigorating Foot Scrub – Walnut:

An invigorating blend of Walnut Shells and Apricot Seeds work together to exfoliate rough, dry and calloused skin, while Sweet Almond Oil, Aloe Vera and Lavender soothe, soften and refresh your tired feet. This natural fiber scrub is also ideal for use on elbows and knees, and for use before the Refreshing Foot Deodorizer.

How to Use:

1. Thoroughly cleanse and dry feet.
2. Apply the scrub to whole foot including between the toes.
3. Gently massage with hand or sopnge to soften and smooth away calluses and rough, flaky skin.
4. Rinse with warm water. Use as often as needed to achieve softer, cleaner skin.

My experience with Purederm Invigorating Foot Scrub – Walnut:

I am not actually a big pedicure person for the fact that I am too lazy to do it myself or get it done in the parlour. I got this cute little scrub packet from purederm which is cost friendly and looks cute too. There was one more variant as well but since walnut is known for its excellent dead cell removal properties I picked it up. It comes in a foot shaped packaging in parrot green colour which looks super attractive and easily noticeable in the shops. It is easy to carry and the quantity is good enough so can be used for 4 times for both the feet since only a coin sized amount is needed for a foot. The only problem is storage; everytime stapling it and then again removing it makes it super chaotic.

The texture of the scrub is not like a pure scrub; it is creamy and it has small granules in it which are actually apricot and walnut seeds as they claim. It smells very nice and refreshing and has a perfumed touch to it which makes us feel like having a spa treatment. The fragrance lingers around till the time you are scrubbing and then it goes off after rinsing. The granules don’t feel that harsh on the skin but do the cleaning job very well within minutes. I rubbed the scrub for like 5 minutes on the feet and later rinsed it off with cold water. It was better to use on dry feet because on wet feet it caused a slippery feeling and the scrubbing results were not upto the mark. I rinsed it off the effects were awesome and actually noticeable. My feet looked upto three times bright and fair and the effects lasted for like 3 days. Also they looked a bit dry before but after this all the dryness and dry patches in between the toe and the fingers had gone away giving it a very fresh look. I touched them and the skin felt soft because it has removed all the darkness and dullness from my feet and they did not look as shabby as before. It felt like a complete layer was peeled off from my skin and they actually matched  my leg colour. I think this worked really well for me infact when had a foot soak before scrubbing, the scrubbing was even more better and effective. This can be used on the elbows and knees too and it is gentle enough to be used everyday as well.

Pros of Purederm Invigorating Foot Scrub – Walnut

-Affordable and attractive parrot green and foot shaped packaging
-Contains walnut and apricot seed particles which are very good exfoliators
-The consistency is almost perfect; not that abrasive and not that gentle
-It is good enough to be used 4-5 times since a coin sized amount is used everytime
-It cleared up all the darkness and dullness from my feet and made them look fresh and even-toned
-The upper layer had gone and my feet looked fair and bright for 2 days
-Can be used on elbows and knees as well
-Gives even better results after a foot soak
-Gentle enough to be used everyday
-The dryness from my feet had gone since it boosted up the moisture as well.

-Not that easily available
-Storage is difficult

Will I repurchase/recommend Purederm invigorating foot scrub-Walnut?

Yes this is a good one to carry with you when you are travelling and at this price it did a pretty good job too but I will not recommend and repurchase it due to the clumsy packaging which needs to be stapled after every use and then again opening it is irritating; I would prefer a foot scrub in a tube.

Neutrogena Skin-clearing Blemish Concealer

As you all know the famous brand Neutrogena has not yet come up with their make-up products in India but I got a brilliant chance to shop for their stuff and took most of the stuff from this brand that I could. I have always faced blemishes and acne scar problem and this actually claims to solve up that problem plus provide coverage so thought of trying it. Let’s see how this unique concealer worked for me.

Directions for use:

Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication.
Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to every other day.

Application Tips:

Before first use, turn dial at bottom of pen slowly until concealer dispenses (may require several turns). After first use, turn dial one click per application. Use sponge tip to gently apply and blend concealer. Avoid eye area.

My experience with Neutrogena Skin-clearing Blemish Concealer:

I got the concealer in shade light. It is a pen type concealer which comes in a transparent pen so that you can make out how much quantity is left. It has a sponge tip which for the first time is very difficult to use because the bottom has to be rotated for a lot of times and later on it is easy to use. The quantity according to me is very less because it is supposed to be 2-3 times a day and if used that much then it will get over in a month or so while the other concealers I have last for more than 4 months. The sponge applicator is very easy to use since you don’t have to use your fingers.  I used it for 5 days continuously and saw a slight reduction in my pimples size because it contains salicylic acid. The shade was a bit light for my skin tone and it appeared like a white patch on my face so a shade darker would have been perfect. It does not cover blemishes that good but yes it will definitely cover up minor blemishes and then I top it up with a translucent powder of my skin tone and it looks perfect. The consistency of the concealer is niether  that thick nor watery but it blends pretty easily. But blending with this concealer does not give a good coverage so I have to just dab it on the blemishes instead of blending. It provides light to medium coverage and people with extreme blemishes on their face will not at all like this one. It lasts for a good amount of 3-4 hours if topped up with translucent powder or else for 2 hours and then the blemishes start appearing. The problem with this is that it will only work for reducing the blemishes only if you use it continuously and I don’t normally use a concealer everyday.

Pros of Neutrogena Skin-clearing Blemish Concealer:

-A unique formula which helps to reduce acne plus provides a concealing effect
-Comes in a pen form so very easy to use and carry too
-Has a sponge tip applicator which is better than using fingers
-It helps conceal minor acne scars and reduces the pimple size too after everyday use
-Lasts upto 3-4 hours if topped up with a translucent powder
-This is a very good option to go with, for people who suffer from acne issues.

Cons of Neutrogena Skin-clearing Blemish Concealer:

-Not available in India
-Skin clearing claim will not come true if the concealer is not used every day and I don’t normally use a concealer every day
-The price is pretty high for the little quantity that they provide.
-Cannot be used for eye area and will not provide a very good coverage for pimples and blemishes as well.

Will I repurchase/recommend Neutrogena skin clearing blemish concealer?

I will not get it because the quantity is pretty less and secondly it is  not available here also. I will not recommend it to you people because we have used better concealers than this one which provide a higher coverage and give a flawless look too.

It is celebration time for me!!!! The reason being I completed my 200 reviews on my last article. It is just a year that I have joined IMBB but it feels like so many years. The support from the IMBB team and love from all my dearies is the greatest thing about this blog. I always wish to be a part of this blog and will try to contribute as much as I can from the bottom of my heart. I am  crazy behind BB creams and love to try almost each and every BB cream possible. Hence from the US haul I got this covergirl BB cream because I had used Covergirl stuff earlier and almost every make-up product worked great for me. Let’s see how this suits my skin.

My take on Covergirl CG smoothers BB cream

I purchased this BB cream in the lightest shade which they call fair but here precisely we call it the ivory shade. I had a doubt whether it would look to white on me but thank god it suited my skin tone perfectly. It came in a packet and the BB cream comes in a white and sky blue tube which looks very decent and easy to carry too. The cap opens up and the hole in there is too small which is actually great for the needed amount to come out. As said it does not contain any fragrance and I like it this way . The consistency of the BB cream is very smooth and can be blended easily on the skin. I have used many BB creams and some feel really dry on the skin and enhance the patchy look of the skin but this one provided equal amount of moisturisation and there was no need of a moisturiser underneath too. But since I believe in applying or using products which have higher SPF content, I have to any which ways apply a sunscreen beneath because this has only SPF 15 which is pretty low for the sensitive face area. A pea sized amount is needed and it blends and spreads like a dream. Not even a minute is required to spread it up.

It makes the skin look smoother and provides a very natural glow and no one will be able to make out that you have actually applied something. Although it does help in concealing any blemishes, it makes the skin look fresh and does not make it dull, all day long. It does not go into the phase of oxidation like most BB creams and the fair look is maintained for the entire day. It does not leave an oily cast or greasy film behind on the skin and the skin looks very silky. It helps to maintain the even-tone of the skin and lasts for around 4-5 hours. The only debatable point about the claim is that it cannot be called a BB cream because neither does it provide a great coverage nor conceals; it can be rightly called only a tinted moisturiser because the moisturising power is greater than the other BB creams that I have tried. I also noticed that for the first time it was a bit thick but the next time I used it; I could see an oily base when I took it out of the tube but it did not break me out so it was fine for me. It was a good BB cream at that price and I love using it currently without any hesitation.

Pros of Covergirl CG smoothers BB Cream

-Comes in a tube packaging which is easy to carry and convenient to use too
-Good price for such a product and quantity
-Contains SPF
-Provides a very smooth feel and look to the skin and makes it look even-tone
-Does not enter the phase of oxidation; so the skin tone does not turn dull and dark after a couple of hours
-Does not leave a greasy or oily film on the skin
-Lasts for upto 4-5 hours and is fragrance free
-Provides a boost of moisturisation unlike the other BB creams
-Some BB creams dry up the skin a lot but this one does not make it look patchy or flaky
-Provides a very natural glow to the skin and the glow lasts till the BB cream is on
-Super smooth to blend

Cons of Covergirl CG smoothers BB Cream

-Has a low SPF content
-Wrong tag of a BB cream because it is just a tinted moisturiser
-It does not provide any coverage to the skin and does not conceal even minor blemishes or redness
-Not available in India

Will I repurchase/recommend Covergirl CG smoothers BB cream?

Yes, I will not mind getting it again because I don’t prefer a lot of coverage or concealing for every day look and it provides a very good glow and does not oxidise too. I will recommend it to people who do not need a lot of coverage; then this product is really great to go with because it even-tones skin and provides moisturistation too.

Outfit of the day: Royal Blue and Black Velvet Evening Gown

Hello my favourite girlies,

What’s up with the weather? How come does it rain in winter and that too February? Anyways it was fun to see the rains and the pleasant climate.

Coming to the outfit, I wore this was the performance night for my cousin’s wedding. All of the relatives did cute and short dance performances for the bride and groom and they seemed to be so happy.

It is actually an anarkali but it looks like a gown on me and I love it wearing like that. It is a floor length dress and touches the ground if I don’t wear heels. It has a velvet portion above the waist and a nice embroidered strap for the waist area and then the flairs start to show up in royal blue.

It had a dupatta which I pinned up on one side to give it a more traditional look and paired it with short gold coloured heels. For jewellery I wore a diamond pendant and matching earrings to keep it cute and simple. I did a French manicure look and wore a big catchy diamond ring which is one of my current favourites and enhances any traditional look.

I kept my hair pinned straight and for make-up I used Maybelline dream matte mousse, Loreal true match mineral foundation, Maybelline cheeky glow blush, Maybelline gel liner, Revlon colorstay in boundless brandy.

Ever since I entered my teenage years I had started facing the worst nightmares of acne and that time was terrible but soon since my teenage years went away the acne problem went away. But still I always have that bad time when the pimples start popping up anytime they want. For that I always keep on trying some instant treatments for ugly pimples. I got this one so let’s see how it worked for me.

My experience with ELF zit zapper
ELF zit zapper is one of the treatments that I carry in handy with me for the pimples that burst up any time. It comes in a cylindrical pen shape which is transparent and looks very decent. The packaging is nothing fancy it is kept very simple showing it as a medication. The size is a little more than the finger size and easy to carry too. It has a roller ball over the top which you can easily roll on the affected area but the only problem is that after every swipe on the pimples it has to be wiped so that you do not transfer bacteria. The fragrance is very strong and smells like some medication which is made up of tea tree and it reminds me actually of my childhood when my stomach use to pain and mom used to give me a drink called “Jeevan-mixture”. However after applying it the smell goes away. The consistency is very watery but a little dab on the pimple helps it to be applied correctly. The moment I apply it i get a very soothing and cooling sensation which may control any burning on the pimple. It gets absorbed on its own in a minute’s time. I applied it and in just one time I could see no change but i have started applying it 3 times a day only on the acne. Over the time I have noticed that the pimple size gets reduced the next morning when you get up and the redness actually goes away in a day or two which makes it easily for concealing the blemishes. It heals the blemishes and fades them away but that takes a lot of time and I think our face creams would work better for the blemishes. It also helps to dry up the puss pimples and they form a dried out covering on the skin and shed out themselves soon. Since it contains salicylic acid and 3 times application per day made that area a bit dry and at times a little red too but my night cream solves all these dryness and redness problem in a night so it was fine for me. Although it did not show up very instant reactions, it gave me results in like 4-5 days which was fine for me and I was happy that it atleast worked for me. For people who face acne issues like me this is a life saver trust me and you will see all the results yourself and for just a dollar, why not?

PROS

• Very easy to be carried as comes in a pen form
• Easy roller ball applicator where you don’t have to use fingers
• Very cheap remedy for instant use
• Contains salicylic acid and tea tree which are great for pimples and blemishes
• Reduces the redness and the size of the pimples in 4-5 days if used thrice everyday
• Clears up blemishes but that may take regular application for more than 15 days
• It does not itch the skin and does not even harm the skin in any way

CONS

• Not available in India
• Roller ball applicator which has to be wiped every time it is used so that it does not transfer bacteria
• Will not show up instant reactions in a day or two
• Takes a lot of time to work on blemishes and pores

Will I repurchase/ recommend the ELF zit zapper?
Yes I will not mind getting it again because it worked fine for me and comes at a very low price. I will recommend it to people who get pop ups like me anytime and this will help but only if applied continuously and will help reduce the size and redness for sure. It may react differently for every skin type but looking at the price it has to be surely given a try!
