As I said earlier that I got a kit of Clinique long ago from a relative which consisted of some lipsticks, creams and stuff. The kit has smaller sizes of the products to just try out what would actually suit the skin and later a purchase of the bigger variant could be made. So I got this cream from this kit. The shelf life is about 3 years and already 2 years had gone and this cream was as it is. And this would go waste so I started using it and I am done with the whole container and had clicked pictures long ago but I wanted to use the entire thing and then review it.

My experience with Clinique repair wear intensive night cream

So I got a smaller size which lasted for like 24-25 days and the bigger size meaning the regular one will go on till like 3 months of continuous use. This cream comes in a small lip balm kind of a tub and the bigger variant in a big tub like the ones of the other night creams. The packaging is okay in plastic with white bottom and green cap which actually doesn’t look that bad. But this was like 2 years ago, now they have changed the packaging as the cream was expensive but the packaging did not look luxurious. It now has a white tub with silver cap which looks far better. But this size was very handy to carry and the cap was tight as well. It is cream-ish in colour and a little thick and creamy to. Actually I had removed it after years so it seems a little thicker in the picture but initially it was a little less thick than this. It is thick so I enjoy while applying it as I have to massage so that would also improve the blood circulation. The skin might feel a little greasy and heavy especially for oily skin beauties. It might cause breakouts but very rarely. Even I have acne-prone skin but a saw only one or two pimples just. But it is okay if the skin is little greasy because at night you just have to sleep so that does not matter. The cream is super hydrating and gives it all the moisturisation to the skin that it needs. If I would be knowing this I would have saved this cream for the coming winter. Dry skinned beauties are going to love this to the core and obviously Clinique is a luxury and a trustworthy brand so you know about the quality. The skin is super-soft and hydrated fully in the morning and actually you can feel that baby skin. A fresh skin is revealed in the morning. It made my skin a little firm and tight and all the sagging skin had gone. I cannot comment about wrinkles because I don’t have them but I think it will work as Clinique products are never disappointing. Overall I think it is a perfect night cream for winter for all the skin types especially for dry skinned people when in winter you get up and all your skin looks torn off.

-Good packaging and made up of plastic so no breakage at all
-Luxuriously thick cream which gives you the opportunity to massage your skin

-Skin becomes firm and night
-Would have synergistic effects if used with the other 3 variants mentioned above

CONS of Clinique Repair-wear Intensive Night Cream

-Skin might feel a bit greasy after application
-Gave me one or two pimples but that is fine
-Expensive to buy

Will I repurchase/ recommend Clinique repair-wear intensive night cream?
Yes I would love to but I will repurchase it during the winters as currently I have an ample to finish and strongly recommended to women with dry skin. I am sure you guys will love it.

L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss- 912 Peach Pleasure

Aren’t all of us really crazy about those cute looking fashionable lip balms with the sweetest colours and flavours. My pick for today is a new launch from L’Oreal. This one belongs to the glam shine range. These lip balms sticks are very similar to those Clinique chubby sticks and Revlon kissable just bitten sticks. These were first launched in United Kingdom and then moved on to places and finally came to India. Other countries have certain different flavours like watermelon, guava, pomegranate etc and we have some different ones.

My experience with L’oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss- 912 Peach Pleasure:

I loved that L’Oreal came up with this new innovation of making some very girly and cute lip crayons. I think L’Oreal wanted to enter the competition of lip crayons so they came up with this. These are the new launches; I ordered these online and have no idea if they are available on L’Oreal counters or not but I am sure they must be. I had only 3 shades to select from Passionfruit perfect being on a red tone, Lychee lust being a light baby pink and Peach Pleasure being a darker shade of pink. So I picked up peach pleasure because I wanted the colour to actually show up and the second reason being I love pink like all of you.

These are cylindrical pencils with cute pink packaging and look very girly. The cap is silver in colour and the bottom is supposed to be twisted for the product to come up. The shade is little different than the colour on the packaging when actually applied. The texture is neither too soft that may cause breakage nor it is too hard as well. It is perfect. This shade is a sweet pink colour with blue undertones which makes it look a little purple too. It is an advantage for us as it gives a lot of colour plus acts as a lip balm too. The colour shown on the lips is greatly pigmented. So that is where you get colour like you expected.

Talking about the balm part, it does not feel sticky at all on the lips and this actually did the work of a lip balm. It made my lips moisturised and kept them hydrated till the time the balm is on the lips. They may treat chapped lips also. What more do you want from a product? It contains shimmer particles and that is what I don’t like about these balmy glosses. Although when applied the shimmer does not look that bad and together it gives a glossy shine to the lips making it suitable for both night and day time. It stays on the lips for like 2-3 hours although the glossy shine would disappear after an hour and re-application is needed. The more you eat or drink the faster the gloss goes away. If you are doing just blah blah blah then it will stay for a longer time. After it completely goes away still the lips are moisturised and there are only shimmer particles on the lips and it looks yuck!! I mean bad looking shimmer shining on your lips and also it spreads around the mouth area. So while removing it, be sure you apply water and then wipe it with a napkin or with your make-up remover.

Overall I wish they were without shimmer and if they come with something without shimmers then I am buying all the shades that they would have. They are a good combo of a gloss and balm which are really fun to try and cute to stock.

-Nicely priced as compared to lip crayons from other brands
-Amazing combo of gloss and lip balm
-Good pigmentation
-Perfect lip balm which hydrated and moisturised the lips
-The lips are moisturised even if the colour goes away
-The balmy gloss stays for 2-3 hours
-Easy to carry
-Very cute looking and girly
-From a good brand
-Good quantity so will last for many months
-Suitable for day and night time as well

Cons of L’oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss- 912 Peach Pleasure:

-Shimmer particles present and when the colour goes off only shimmer particles are left on the lips which look yuck!!
-the glossy shine goes after an hour
-The more you eat and drink the faster the gloss goes away
-The colour nowhere matches peach like the name says

Will I repurchase/ recommend L’oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss- 912 Peach Pleasure?

I know it is bad to complain but I wish there were no shimmer particles but it is correct on their part to put shimmer as this belongs to the glam shine range and I know the entire range has glossy shimmers, so I won’t repurchase it because of shimmers and if they come out without shimmers then I would buy all. Yes you can try it as they are fun to use and gives a very cute girly look.

Jordana Eyeshadow Quad Golden Era

How are you all doing guys? Happy belated rakshabandha to all of you!! I love my brother because I feel it is the best relation. Lots of bad fights, pushing each other but at the end it is only care, affection and love. As I told I got a few Jordana products when I went abroad, this is also one of them. I was not fond of applying eye shadows so I picked up a versatile quad that would suit almost each and every outfit.

My experience with Jordana Eyeshadow Quad Golden Era :

So this was the only versatile quad that I found, there were like 6 variants to pick from but most of them had purples and blues and I wanted to start off with basics, so this was the best one out there. The eyeshadow quad palette is upper cute and really tiny enough to fit I the pocket as well. It becomes really convenient to carry as it is a shade that will suit all the outfits and you do not have the tension to carry loads of eyeshadows together. I dropped it down from my bed actually taking the risk to test whether it breaks or not. Neither did the palette break and nor the eyeshadow. It consists of 4 shades; first one being a shimmery cream kind of a shade which can be used as a base for any eyeshadow look or as a brow highlighter. I am happy that the shade is cream in colour and not white as white looks a bit weird as highlighter and also as a base. The second shade is a pretty golden bronze shade and this is the best one I liked out of all 4 of them. This is the main shade that makes a glamorous look. It is a very natural shade and looks decent when worn and does not look over-powering like some golden shadows.

The first one from the left in the bottom row is a lovely copper shade. This is somewhat similar to the golden bronze one but just a little lighter than that. It would have been okay if this shade was not there because it is not needed as such, instead they could have given something for brows or a shade of black to complete the smokey look. And the second shade in the bottom row is a nice shimmery brown. It looks amazing alone as well as with the other shades. This one is highly pigmented as compared to others, it shows up just in one stroke. I use it at the corner V area of the eyes to create a smokey look at times. This palette is a very natural one which gives a soft classy look and the pigmentation of the shade is good not that great but with a primer it stays on for more than 5 hours, does not settle on the crease and does not even flake off. I personally love the quad because of its versatility and also because it is totally worth the price. If you are looking out for a basic palette for a reasonable price, then this is a very good option.

-Neither the palette nor the eyeshadow breaks when dropped
-Affordable compared to other brands
-Versatile shades which go on all the outfits
-Create a soft natural look
-Stays for more than 5 hours with a primer

-Does not itch even when some of the colour falls into eyes
-Easy to remove
-4 shades in one palette

Cons of Jordana Eyeshadow Quad Golden Era :

-The copper and the golden bronze colour are almost same, instead they could have given a brow filling shade or a shade of black to complete the smokey look.
-The pigmentation of all the shades except for brown is quite okay.
-Limited availability in India
-Shelf life of 12 months only

Will I repurchase/recommend Jordana Eyeshadow Quad Golden Era ?

Almost all the brands have a basic palette like this one but if you are looking for one which is reasonably price and worth the price, then do try out this one. Although I have loved using it I will not repurchase it as I would like to try the other brands.

Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Mat 1 Lipstick Review

So, finally the much-awaited product of the month has arrived on the shelves of the malls and since the day Rati di did a post of her birthday stuff that she got from Maybelline, I was convinced to buy one of these gorgeous lipsticks. I just got one shade from this range and that too online. I have always loved the Colorsensational range of Maybelline, so was expecting a good return for my money. Read to know more about it.

My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Mat 1 Lipstick?

I was so excited about this lipstick, but when I went to Pantaloons, I was disappointed because they said that they have not yet stocked up this range. I came home and there was a website offering this lipstick, so I immediately ordered the lightest shade among all the 5 shades. But I wish I had not rushed and ordered it online because I wanted a coral kind of shade and this was not, but that is my story, but I know there are many of you who are going to like this shade, so let’s move on.

The packaging is very attractive, neon pink packaging which is sophisticated and luxurious. There was a plastic on top and that was supposed to be removed to open up the lipstick. I tore the plastic and the entire bold matte fonts were coming out. They were actually on the plastic and not on the lipstick. It is very handy and looks glamorous in the cupboard. You open up the lipstick and the inner part is silver in colour and a gorgeous neon pink colour comes out of it. The lipstick is pure neon pink in colour and you know neon is so much “in” these days. The texture is really soft and believe me, I have not used a lipstick before which is this soft. It had to be handled with care.

It glides very smoothly onto the lips and not much effort is needed to apply this one. My lips have become a little dry due to the changing weather and I did not apply a lip balm, the colour is bright neon, so the dry patches could be seen. I think in this case, a lip balm is going to be my best friend. The lipstick is super creamy and not exactly matte, like the name suggests; it is a bit glossy but that’s fine, it looks pretty and that is what we want, right?

It looks even better when topped with a gloss. The lipstick stayed for 4-5 hours and even when the lipstick started fading, the soft pink shade stayed on my lips all day. Although it makes my skin look a little darker than my original skin tone because you know when you were neon clothes at times, skin starts looking tanned, but it is a perfect fuchsia and lovers of pink are going to like it; pink is my favourite too. To reduce the neon effect, I am going to apply one more lipstick with this. Go grab the colour you like because they are really girly and you will enjoy using them.

Handy, easy to carry around.
A bright neon pink colour.

Dry patches on the lips were visible because my lips are dry and this is a pure neon colour, so the parched skin was visible, but a lip balm will help.
Made my skin look a little darker than the original skin tone.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Mat 1 Lipstick?

Yes, I would tell you guys to try at least one from this girly range because they are totally worth the price and I wouldn’t buy this shade again because I am not comfortable with neon shades and though it may not look that neon in the pictures, I would tell you guys to go and try the testers on the lips and not hands before buying.

I am a person who likes doing hair spa at home and I have planned to invest in a treatment for growth and improvement in the health of hair, so I think of really saving a few bucks that I would spend on hair spa. I usually get those big spa tubs or small one-time use packets which actually give out excellent results. This is the fourth time I have ordered this particular one and it is made up of honey which is actually the best to restore the health of the hair. So, let’s see how this cutie worked.

Enriched with honey, grapefruit , sweet almond and shea butter, this richly textured creamy mask delivers deep nourishment to the hair shaft and works to smooth the hair scales in order to fix and enhance curl spring.

Directions For Use:

Apply a generous amount to hair after shampooing.
Comb to apply evenly.
Leave it on for 5-15 minutes depending on the porosity of hair.

My Take on Purederm Vital Radiance Hair Mask – Honey:

So, it is quite a lot of times that I have used this one. Earlier, when I wanted to try it, I ordered a different pack which was a two-step process which had this mask as well as a shower cap and I thought that it might be a self- heating mask, but I was foolish enough to think that way, it was only a shower cap. So, I would tell you guys not to get that one, but this one. This one comes in the regular packaging of Purederm, which all of you might have seen. This one comes in a yellow packet which is convenient to store and easy to carry. The main ingredients are honey, sweet almond and shea butter and you all know the benefits of these. Applying raw honey becomes sticky at times and difficult to wash, so this is a great alternative.

The texture of the hair mask is deliciously creamy and thick and glides so smoothly on hair that you will be amazed. It does not leak out of hair or create a mess because it is not runny at all. The aroma of the hair mask is great and smells like a blend of honey and beer, but beer is nowhere in the list, so don’t worry, it just smells like that. I tied my hair in a bun and kept it for half an hour after shampooing my hair. I thought the packet was for one-time use, but if you have shoulder length hair like mine and are frugal enough in using it, you may be able to use it twice. This stuff is supposed to be applied instead of the conditioner. The smell makes me feel as if I am having a hair spa. I washed my hair out and then let it air dry and did not apply serum just because I was not going out and yes my hair was very soft and silky and it also gave a shine to my hair which it had completely lost and also made my hair colour even looking and enhanced the light brown blonde colour. After my hair was completely dry, I moved my fingers and there were no tangles, but of course I have porous ends, so the frizz had not gone, but that’s because I did not use a serum. When I use the serum, I get perfect, healthy looking hair. It gives an instant boost to dull and dry hair. Using it once a week or once in 15 days will give out good results and will help maintain hair from everyday pollution and dust.

How To Curl Hair With Straightener: Do It Yourself

Guys, I am so happy at the moment because this is my 100th post that I am writing. IMBB is a place that has conquered a very large place in my heart and I have become so attached to this blog that I cannot survive a day without reading reviews or talking to you guys. My love for IMBB is increasing with each day. I love the people out here and you are the sweetest ladies I have spoken too. I haven’t met any of you guys, but it feels like everyone are the best-est of friends. IMBB gave me a chance to grow and I am grateful for giving me that opportunity. Thank you IMBB for all the love, affection and support that you have shown. Rati di, Neha di, Jomol di and Sanjeevji a big hug and a very big thank you to you guys for putting up all my reviews and the concern that you guys have shown can never be returned by me, love you all!!

I will move on to today’s post which is just a small tutorial to show you guys how to do curls with a flat iron. I curl my hair like once in 2 months, so actually I do not need a separate curler. I think everyone has a straightener, so why not use it to curl hair too. The look created is similar to the look created by a curling wand but a little softer, so let’s move ahead.

Things you will need:

Flat iron.
Clips.
Tic-tac pins or any accessory that you would like to put onto your hair.
A comb.

Step 1:

Straighten your hair with your flat iron like you normally do and then spray heat protectant. Spray all over your hair because curling hair with heat causes more damage if your hair is already damaged. So, heat protection is mandatory.

Step 2:

Now, part your hair like I have done in the picture. I have layers, so I will first curl the longer hair and the hair at the top is comparatively shorter in size, so partition your hair and clip it up so that it doesn’t come out and disturb you when you are curling the bottom layers.

Step 3:

Partition your hair from the back and start from one. Take 1 inch of hair and put the rest of the hair on the other side. Comb that 1 inch to make it tangle free and place the flat iron at the middle of the hair as shown in the picture.

Step 4:

Now, take the inch of your hair and take them from down at the back and turn them and remove them from up at the front. The pictures will make you understand better.

Step 5:

Now that you have got your hair from back to the front, hold the inch and turn your straightener inwards and then you will get the tip out from between the straightener.

Step 6:

Now in the position where the tip of your hair comes from between the flat iron, pull the flat iron downwards slowly. Don’t be too fast in pulling the flat iron downwards, at least take 10 seconds to come downwards slowly or else you will not get the desired curls.

Step 7:

Now, you will get a cute bouncy curl and then flip it back so that it does not interrupt when you curl the other strands.

Step 8:

Now, keep doing this process by taking each partition and be sure that you take 1 inch for every strand for them to look perfect.

Step 9:

Now when you are done with one side, move on to the other side and repeat the process and then put all the curled hair behind and unclip the hair that you had clipped up and then start doing the same to them and straighten out your bangs if you have to create a finished look and you are done!!

Step 10:

Now, the curls will loosen up, so finish up with a hold spray so that the curls stay on for long.

I have done four simple hairstyles just to show you guys: The first one with a small clip which will create a bump, second one with a butterfly clip in the middle at the back of the hair to create a voluminous look. The third one with the butterfly on one side which creates a girly look and the fourth one in which you tie a bun with those curly hair and you get a sweet romantic updo!

Things to keep in mind:

1. Keep the flat iron at the lowest temperature when you are practicing and if you are scared of the heat or unnecessary damage, then practice with the flat iron turned off.

2. Do not do it for the first time when you are going out, practice a few times and then do it finally when you are going out because it needs practice.

3. You can turn the flat iron outwards instead of inwards and that will give you outward curls.

4. Wear hand mittens if possible because you might feel the heat when you hold it and pull it downwards.

5. Do not comb your hair after you are done with the curls and if you do, your dolly curls will turn into beach waves.

Hope you guys liked this way of using a flat iron to create curls, it is a little difficult to gasp from the pics, but observe the pictures carefully and try it for yourself and you will surely achieve cute curls!

Maybelline is one of the closet brands to my heart. I pick up almost all the stuff from Maybelline to try it out atleast once but I can surely say that I am a loyal customer to this brand. I went to a drugstore called as “Careefour” in Dubai and splurged on all the stuff I could. I bought this product from there. I have oily skin and prone to breakouts and this said it was designed for my skin type so picked it up.

My experience with Maybelline shine free oil control make-up:

As I have started realizing that many of my products are on the verge of expiring, I began to use them lately. I have used many foundations and most of them looked oily on my skin as I have that skin type and the skin used to become very greasy after a certain number of hours. I picked up the shade ivory which was the lightest shade of all. The second shade looked a bit tan for my skin tone. This foundation or make-up as they call it comes in a transparent glass bottle on which dull fonts depicting the name and dull cap as well. The looks are very old-fashioned type and do not look funky or attractive to use. The main issue is that it is a glass bottle and secondly there is a big hole for the product to come out and lots of foundation comes out forcing me to ruin my nails. The foundation comes in a liquid form and the consistency is not that runny and not that thick as well, it is super easy to blend and spreads evenly onto the skin with our fingers and even better with a foundation brush. It makes the skin look a little fair although the coverage is not that heavy, it will blur up the scars, pimples or dark circles but not hide them and for that you will have to use a concealer.

They have said there is no need to use a pressed or a loose powder over it, but I do because I have a habit and it is perfectly fine even if you don’t; it looks good without the pressed powder as well. It does not sting my skin and neither causes dryness. It smells like a typical foundation. It superbly does what it says. It hides all of the excess shine from the face and also does not make my skin oily even after certain number of hours. It starts to go off after 4 hours or so and I would suggest that it is not that suitable for summers. Most of us do not use liquid stuff during summers and I think this may start melting up, so use it during monsoons and winters. It comes off easily with your cleansing milk or any make-up remover. I loved how this foundation suited my skin and oily skinned beauties should try it atleast once. Say goodbye to excess shine and oil!!

Pros of Maybelline Shine-Free Oil Control Makeup:

-Nicely priced as the quantity is quite good.
-Consistency is great.
-Super easy to blend and spreads evenly on the skin.
-Does not sting or my skin or make it dry.
-Does not make the skin look greasy like some of the foundations.
-Hides excess shine and oil of the skin.
-Skin does not become oily even after 4 hours.

Cons of Maybelline Shine-Free Oil Control Makeup:

-Glass and dull packaging.
-Not suitable for summers.
-Limited availability.
-Does not provide a good coverage of pimples, scars and dark circles.

Will I repurchase/recommend Maybelline shine free oil control make-up?

The main thing here is it is very difficult to handle a glass bottle, although it is a very good foundation for oily skin and if they improve up on the cons, then definitely it would become a very good product.

Clean and Clear Skin Balancing Moisturiser

Here is again a review for acne-prone skin because personally I think this is the worst skin problem among all the skin problems that I have faced. In my early teens I started getting pimples and I was really not aware as to what to pick and what not. I bought it first time during that period and this is the third bottle. As time passed by I came across IMBB and started to learn about all the things that could cure my acne. Recently I was waiting for my acne kit to come from USA and for the time being I was using this ctm routine which had clean and clear acne clearing cleanser, clean and clear blackhead clearing cleanser being the toner and this one as the moisturizer. So let’s sum up the details about this product.

Price: Rs 50 for 50 ml

Company claims: The oil free formula moisturizes without greasiness and does not clog pores. Salicylic acid helps prevent pimples and blackheads. It leaves your skin feeling clean and beautifully clear.

Directions: Apply evenly on face and neck. Use twice daily for skin that’s clean, clear and beautiful.

My take on Clean and Clear Skin Balancing Moisturiser:

I am using a kit from acnefree for my pimple routing; the cleanser and toner are quite good in quantity but the lotion comes in a small bottle so gets over very soon. So the moment it was over I got this one to use in the routine. In my early teens also I got attracted towards the name clean and clear and bought it. This moisturizer comes in a white oval kind of a bottle and a purple cap which is a flip open one with a nozzle. The nozzle is perfectly designed, not very big like some other products which reduce the product wastage by giving out the quantity we want. I wish it was colourful in packaging but that is fine, you cannot get everything you want lol. The quantity is of the moisturizer is just half in the bottle but that is fine because after using it for few days I feel like when is this going to get over so that I can get all the new products.

The consistency is not runny at all, it has the best consistency and becomes a perfect moisturizer as you apply it and it blends and gets absorbed into the skin like a dream. The fragrance is a nice one and not at all irritating. It has a cute baby smell which I love. The skin may feel greasy for a minute or two but later it starts to soak in and the skin becomes absolutely normal. My skin tends to get oily after just 2 hours of washing my face and it becomes really irritating because you don’t want to look like a warm bread with butter melting all over your face. This helps me out with that. After applying this, my skin becomes oily after like 3 or 3 and a half hour which is good. I apply this in the morning after taking bath and need to put my BB cream on because this one does not contain spf and I follow it with a compact. It works the best overnight. Your pimples will not really go but have patience and you can see that the size is reducing and the redness is going as in just 50 bucks you cannot conquer the world. But it does give out satisfactory results. I use all the 3 things together mentioned above which helps up in healing the acne or pimples faster.

This will not work out in winters or for ladies with dry skin because it is not that moisturizing and you will be able to see the dry skin even after applying this. I love this brand and liked this product too and currently I am using acne free but as soon as the lotion from the kit gets over, I’ll come back to this one.

-Available everywhere
-A complete range of products available for ctm routine from the same brand
-Handy and the nozzle is perfect
-Nicely moisturizes my skin after taking bath
-Does not feel greasy or oily on skin
-Prevented breakouts
-Pimple size and redness will reduce but with patience
-Oil secretion is prevented; my skin first used to become oily in 2 hours after washing the face and after putting this one on it becomes oily after 3 or 3 and a half hour

Cons of Clean and Clear Skin Balancing Moisturiser:

-Will not be moisturizing enough for dry skin
-Not suitable for winters
-No SPF present

Will I repurchase/ recommend it?

Yes I will if you are looking for an affordable product. I have got use to it and I do not like trying new products for acne because you never know how they could react on your skin.

Acne Free 24 Hour Acne Clearing System

Today I am going to review my favourite product. This is the best product that I have used in my entire life. I am using this product since like 5 years and love it to the core.This is one of the best products in the USA market and mostly all the stores who sell this promote this brand very strongly. I was suffering from very severe acne. I used to have 5 new pimples everyday which looks really bad and painful too, I had tried all the products but they just gave temporary results and the acne came back. I read reviews about proactiv and told my uncle staying in the States to get it and when he visited walmart they suggested him to go for this brand, so he bought this and I would thank that person who suggested him this product. Let’s read what I actually loved about the product.

Price: 20$ for a cleanser, toner and lotion

Product description:

AcneFree is the only brand that makes acne clearing systems formulated with Advanced Micro-Benzoyl Peroxide. Micro-sized benzoyl peroxide is designed to work faster and penetrate deeper into pores. The Original AcneFree 24 Hour Acne Clearing System includes Oil-free Purifying Cleanser, Renewing Toner and Repair Lotion- three simple steps, twice a day, for clearer skin. Visible results in just 1 – 3 days.

I will first talk individually about these 3 products and then give an overall review.

Step 1: Acnefree oil free purifying cleanser

This is the very first step in the CTM routine. The cleanser comes in a white fat bottle cylindrical in shape and contains 118ml of the cleanser. Carrying them individually is fine but carrying all the three along would be really heavy. The cap is a turn around one and the hole is present which gives out the product. The cleanser is white in colour and neither runny nor thick. The cleanser has very few that too very little granules in it which help remove dirt. The cleanser does not lather at all, you just massage that white stuff over your face and wash it. As it contains benzoyl peroxide it may sting on the skin if you massage for more than one minute, but I don’t normally do that. This is actually the step where the reaction and pimple reduction starts.

Step 2: Acnefree Renewing toner

After you are done with cleansing, the next step we move on to is the toner. This comes in the same bottle and is aqua blue in colour. The colour is not visible when you take it in the hand but you are supposed to use the toner with a cotton pad and there you will notice the shade. It has a proper chemical smell and obviously it will have because this product is supposed to solve your acne problem and not give you pleasure of applying. The toner again is 118 ml and is similar to water. It takes like 5 minutes to dry up completely and does not sting the skin at all. It even tones the skin and you will not be able to see any discolouration. Your face starts looking clear.

Step 3: Acnefree repairing lotion

This is the final step of the kit. You are supposed to apply the lotion only after the toner has completely dried up.The lotion comes in a small bottle of just 59 ml and I did not like it why they gave a half sized bottle of the cleanser and the toner. It gets used up pretty quickly and the lotion gets over soon. It comes in white colour and a little thick and even this is supposed to be applied with a cotton pad and not with fingers as you may transfer bacteria. This also has a chemical smell but not that strong. The lotion will also take 5 minutes to dry up and you are done. This may sting a little but that completely depends on whether benzoyl peroxide suits your skin or not.

Overall review:

Initially when you are done with all the 3 steps your skin may look a little red and may also sting a little but may go away after 5 minutes of completing all the 3 steps. It seriously shows results in 1-3 days of usage. The very next morning the redness of the pimple or acne will go away and the pimple will become half the size. And in three days my pimples really go away. I do not apply it in the morning just use it during the night time as I don’t really have time to do it in the day-time plus the face would look red. It definitely dries the skin a bit but this product is something that may give different reactions to every skin type. There might be different reactions also with people even if two of them have oily skin. But it has been really compatible with my skin and I have never ever seen a better acne and pimple treatment than this one. I strongly recommend it and guys use it and see your pimples and the scars go away in like a week.

Pros of Acne Free 24 Hour Acne Clearing System:

-A complete acne treatment with a cleanser, toner and lotion
-Variants are present: one for sensitive skin, this is the original treatment and one for severe acne
-Acne goes away in like a week’s time
-A strong competitor to proactiv
-The redness of the acne reduces in a day and the pimple size becomes half in a day
-Contains benzoyl peroxide which is one of the best ingredient in clearing acne
-I used it back in 2008 for the very first time and then the acne had reduced, they don’t pop up everyday now not even twice in a week
-Super clear skin in 2 weeks
-Gave me great results even when I use it only at night time, imagine how clear would my skin have been if I use it at day time as well.

Cons of Acne Free 24 Hour Acne Clearing System:

-May sting the skin and that too only for some people
-Will give mild redness after usage but clear skin in the morning.
-May react very differently to different skin types but people having acne prone will get almost similar results to mine
-The repairing lotion is very small and gets used up very quickly
-Expiry date of just 11 months but it does get over in 3 months if used everyday
-Not available in India

Will I repurchase/recommend Acne Free 24 Hour Acne Clearing System?

Yes I am going to get it again. The cons are not that major and can be totally neglected. This is my 5th kit and I always have one in my cupboard and currently I am using it but when I feel the acne have gone I stop using it and vice versa. I strongly recommend it as it is the most reliable product and guaranteed product in terms of acne. People with acne problem go for this and I am sure you will never regret the purchase.

Cettua Trouble Clear Patch with Tea Tree Oil Review

By now, all of you must have known my skin type, its oily and acne prone. The pimples pop up any time they want. I got this as I have seen only Nexcare selling this and it did not really work for me. These patches are from Cettua. I spotted this box and immediately picked it up as I love trying such small cutie things. Let’s see where these patches worked or not.

$3.99 for 48 patches ( I got it for $1.50)

Product Description:

Contains tea tree oil which helps to aid in the healing process of blemished skin and for a refreshed healthy skin.
It also contains salicylic acid, which removes keratin on the skin and helps to penetrate into pores clogged with oil and impurities.
It effectively treats acne by killing bacteria that causes pimple growth.

Ingredients:

Directions To Use:

Clean face thoroughly and apply skin toner.
Remove adhesive back film from patch and apply on individual blemish directly.
Leave it on for 8-12 hours, ideally during the night for patch action.

My Take on Cettua Trouble Clear Patch with Tea Tree Oil:

I immediately picked this stuff up before thinking much as I thought it will be good for an overnight fix. The box looks very cute green and white and with all those cute bows and hearts over it. I love to stack such stuff in my closet. The box makes it very convenient to store as if the packets are stored directly, it might get misplaced as they are too thin and if you keep it somewhere, you will never be able to find it again like me There are all the instructions that one may need at the back of the box and also caution instructions. There are 4 small packets inside the box and each packet has 12 patches which comes to 48 patches in the entire box.

The patches can tear up in the process of removing them from the plastic sheet on which they are stuck. So, we are supposed to handle and remove them carefully. The patches are very thin and flat and do not have any kind of smell. They are transparent, so when you stick them on your skin, they are barely visible. You can go out with the patches on, but obviously, it looks weird if someone notices it, so best for overnight use. The patches start peeling off once they start to dry up or the oil has been absorbed by the skin. At times, they do not even stick perfectly if the pimple is big in size; it starts to come off, but my pimples are not that big, so no worries. I was very excited to see and was expecting my pimple to go off even slightly because it had the two powerful ingredients; salicylic acid and tea tree oil.

When I got up in the morning and removed the patch, I was disappointed because it did not do anything. Only a little redness had gone and the size had reduced a bit. I think any pimple cream is capable of doing that and also there are chances that the pimple might naturally reduce after a night. So, no power of salicylic acid and tea tree oil at all and they were cheap, so its okay but still it was a waste right? Rather I would use home remedies and use my acne kit instead of such patches.

Pros of Cettua Trouble Clear Patch with Tea Tree Oil:

Cute box and packaging.
Affordable.
Good quantity of patches, but would have been great if they would have worked.
Not that visible when stuck on to the skin.
Contains salicylic acid and tea tree oil which are two powerful pimple reducing agents.

Cons of Cettua Trouble Clear Patch with Tea Tree Oil:

Reduced the pimple size and the redness only a little, which was not even visible.
Sometimes may not stick properly to the skin.
Total waste of money.
They are thin so might tear while removing it from the plastic sheet.
Supposed to be stapled after every use or else the tea tree oil may saturate.
Limited availability.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Cettua Trouble Clear Patch with Tea Tree Oil?

No not at all. It was a total waste and did not do anything as such. Many of us would get attracted to such quick fixes but I would tell you not to buy it anytime although if you get it at a very cheap price like me, then you may try it out once.

Estée Lauder Blush All Day Natural Cheek Color – Desert

How have you all been? I am loving the scene where all the shopkeepers and Ganpati statues sellers have their amazingly colourful decorated Ganpatis. It looks soooo glam and happening. Now coming to the review for the day, it is a blush from Estee lauder. It belongs to my mom but she does not use blush as often as I use so she passed this on to me. Let’s see how did the blush worked for me.

Product claims:

Smooth, velvety formula delivers warm, natural-looking colour that stays true all day. Blends effortlessly. Colour builds easily from soft to striking, so you’re always in control.
Tip: Smile to find the apple of your cheeks. Then sweep blush outward and upward toward hairline.
How I liked the Estée Lauder blush all day natural cheek colour: 16-Desert ?

As I mentioned this was passed by my mom to me, she got this particular blush in a complete make-up kit from Estee lauder and imagine she had used the entire kit and that she left for me was this blush. This blush is the smallest size which comes in a circular pot with a cute star shape on it so that you can notice the shade from that star window. The bigger variants are available in square shaped palette. It is super handy to carry and a lot of make-up break when you drop them but this does not how hard you drop it. The blush comes in soft brownish rose shade which looks very natural on the skin. The consistency is a bit chalky but glides on smoothly with blush brush. The shade that they have created is nothing related to showy pinks or peaches; it is a subtle shade which gives a rosy glow to your cheeks. When I actually saw the shade for the first time I was like is this even going to show up? Later on when I rubbed my finger to actually see what shade it is it was a hard time because I had to rub my fingers a lot to get the shade on but when the shade finally showed up I pretty much liked it.

While applying it on my cheeks also I had to take the blush thrice from the pot but the colour looked very delicate on me. And it looked like I naturally had rosy cheeks; it did not seem like I had applied a blush which is kind of positive. This shade is the one which will go with any make-up look you have and will also suit all the shades of lipstick that you would choose to wear. But the unsatisfactory part of the blush is it does not stay for a long time. With a simple compact it will just stay for an hour or so. And with a face primer or a foundation or BB cream, it will stay for around 2 and a half to 3 hours depending on the skin type. Sincerely I did not expect this from such a big company, as the main thing for a blush is the staying power and for this range this was the most disappointing aspect.

-Does not last long enough; 1 hour with a compact and 2 and a half to 3 hours with a foundation, face primer or BB cream

Will I repurchase/recommend Estée Lauder blush all day natural cheek colour?

I wouldn’t actually buy this again even if it suited my skin tone perfectly because I cannot put in so much efforts every-time to apply it; although I will not mind to finish this up. For the people who will want to try it the range has changed to Estée Lauder tender blush and do test and try the shade on your cheeks before picking it up.

Banana Hair Pack for Healthy Hair: DIY

Hello sweetie-pies,

I have seen a lot of people telling that due to some reasons they cannot use eggs at home and most of them miss out on the main protein that egg gives but I am up with an alternative which will be equally healthy for your hair. I was using this pack for a month back because shraavan month was going on and I did not wanted to get eggs at home being a gujju but I was enjoying the omelettes and stuff outside the house lol. So let’s see how to make one of the easiest hair masks.

Ingredients needed:

• 1 whole banana
• Half a cup of milk
• Crusher
• Honey
• Olive oil

Step 1: Peel of the banana and make some pieces and put them into a steel bowl or container.

Step 2: Take the milk cup and pour the milk into the container in order to make a paste.

Step 3: Now take an electronic crusher and crush the milk and banana together to make a thick paste. I would suggest to crush the mixture with an electronic mixer because if you crumple them with your fingers it is going to stick to your hair and would be a hard time removing the banana residue to keep in mind to make a good thick paste.

Step 4: Now as you can see the banana and milk blend is ready. Basically if you brain-storm you have made a banana milkshake but do not drink it guys we still have some more ingredients to put in.

Step 5: Now take olive oil and add 2 spoons to the mixture. Olive oil will not only make the hair smooth and give shine but will also help to repair damaged and dry hair.

Step 6: Now put in 2 spoons of honey too and you already know the greatest benefits of honey so will not elaborate on that part. Now mix the mixture well and you are ready to go. Now apply the mixture from scalp to roots either with a hair colour brush or with your fingers and wear a shower cap so that you do not ruin your clothes or your house.

Some more tips:

• You can also steam your hair if you have time but only for two to three minutes or else the paste will start leaking off.

I was running out of my day creams and visited a chemist behind my house to get a new day cream and imagine I bought 5 things and my mom was like “You do shopping from a chemist too?” lol. I have used Olay natural white before and pretty much liked it and what I spotted was Olay natural white but this had a green packaging so I immediately asked the shopkeeper as to what is this? I got the box and saw it was a blend of natural ingredients. I picked it up immediately to try it. So let’s see how this new innovation worked.

Price: Rs 80 for 40g (There were bigger sizes too)

What Olay claims about Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum?

Its serum formula has vitamins and saffron, ficus indica, turmeric and rose.
It spreads easily, absorbs quickly and helps give you,
• Fairer skin
• Even skin-tone
• Soft and smooth skin

Directions to use: Use it twice a day on a clean face and neck.

My experience with Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum:

I got this cream like 2 weeks back and I think half of it is already over since I got a palm-sized tube. I was continuously using this since the day I got it every morning before applying my BB cream and now I finally felt that I should review it because I wanted to throw the box because it was blocking too much space in my cupboard. This cream comes in a plain white tube and the tube is similar to many of the Olay creams and face-washes. The tube is super handy and convenient to place it in the cupboard as well. It has a turn round cap and has a small hole in it so that needed amount comes out. So they have designed the packaging very nicely. Coming to what new they have tried is; they have added natural fairness ingredients like saffron, turmeric and rose. And we all know their brightening benefits. Looking at saffron I got pulled toward this one. I picked up the small variant because I wanted to give it a try but trust me it is not small, it is quite huge. I mean I got so much in just Rs 89 so I was very happy. The smell is amazing and very fresh and believe me it is not at all a herbal smell.

The cream or serum as they call it is cream in colour is pretty thick as compared to the other day creams of Olay. But when you apply it on the face it glides very smoothly and blends easily and gets absorbed easily too. No greasiness or oiliness is left behind which was amazing. The skin feels really soft and smooth after application and also I noticed that it gave a brightening glow to my skin. That is all I want in the morning because I don’t want my skin to look tired at the very beginning of the day. They have mentioned that it has a UV protection but the SPF content is not present so I always top it up with my BB cream which has SPF. After using it for 2 weeks I noticed that my skin was a bit fair like one tone fair obviously that also depends upon your melanin level; a cream cannot do everything for you but 1 tone fairer is fine, right? And it did make my skin even-toned as well.

So summing up everything I feel it is a wonderful product that Olay has come out with and most of you should try a smaller variant first.

PROS of Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum:

-Very affordable
-Has natural brightening ingredients like saffron and turmeric
-The quantity is really good at compared to such a low price
-A consistency is thick which will also work out during winter but that will also depend upon the dryness of the skin
-Gives an instant brightening glow to the skin
-Blends easily and gets absorbed easily too
-No greasiness or oiliness left behind
-Skin was fairer by one tone after continuous use and also skin looked even-toned

CONS of Olay Natural White 3 in 1 Fairness Serum:

-UV protection is mentioned but no SPF content mentioned
-It will not make your skin very fair so not expect that; but 1 tone fairer is fine

Will I repurchase/recommend?

Yes I do recommend this one because at this price they have a great product to offer and I think everyone should take advantage. And mostly I am going to buy one more pack of this once I finish this because I loved it!!

I am going to review a BB cream and look and the pictures and tell me what would have attracted me to buy this BB cream lol ? I was almost done with my maybelline BB cream and I have used 3 of maybelline’s tubes. So this time I picked up Deborah Milano bb cream and this one because I wanted to try different brands. Read further to know more about this product.

How to use:

My experience with KonadNiju girl teen’s BB cream:

Okay so I realize that I have already crossed my teens but still who wouldn’t be attracted to buy this tube? I mean it looks so better than all the BB creams I have tried uptil now. It comes in a cute plastic box with a lace outline and a cute girl with a doggy. And inside lays the pretty thing. The bb cream comes in a very cute pink packaging and is super easy to carry and the top is a turn around one in baby pink and it has sweet colourful stars and dots over it. It would be a perfect looking BB cream for a teen who has just entered the lovely make-up world. Now as they mentioned I carried on my skincare routine and then I took a very little amount and spotted on my face parts and then started to blend in. It indeed has a very silky texture and it definitely easy to blend but the problem is if you take even little more quantity than needed, it will create a whole white face and will leave a white cast behind and believe me I was looking like a vampire ready to bite!! So I took a tissue and dabbed on a bit to make it even looking and then it looks really good and I finished off with my loose powder.

It is available only in one shade and thankfully it matched my skin tone but I also had to apply a sufficient quantity to my neck because if I wouldn’t have my face was looking very bright and neck very pale. It covered only minor blemishes but as they said “effective coverage” that was not the case. My acne scars were not covered at all and obviously from the second time I started to use a concealer after this and then the loose powder. I have dark circles so it did a pretty good job there as it did not fully cover them but brightened the under eye area making it look fresh. My face looked clean like those pretty gyaru dolls. It lasted for about 2 and a half hours and then my face started to become oily and I felt a need of touch-up. It did brightened up my skin a lot but did not give me a glow like the Maybelline bb cream used to give me. So that was missing. But overall I really liked this BB cream and it did a pretty good job and I will not regret buying this and would happily use it further.

Pros of Konad Niju Girl Teen’s BB Cream:

-Very cute girly packaging.
-Convenient to carry and use.
-Oil free.
-Silky and smooth texture which makes it very easy to blend.
-Lasted for 2 and a half hours which is fine as a bb cream.
-Gave a very cute brightening dolly effect.
-Covers minor blemishes.

Cons of Konad Niju Girl Teen’s BB Cream :

-No SPF
-Did not cover up acne scars or major dark circles.
-Only one shade available.
-Did not give me a glow if compared to other BB creams.
-Face looks really white if quantity is taken more than needed.

Will I repurchase/recommend Konad Niju Girl Teen’s BB Cream?

I don’t think this BB cream is designed only for teens; it will suit everyone except for dry skinned beauties. It is a good BB cream and people who do not want a very high coverage can go ahead and try this. Moms whose daughter is soon going to be a teen, gift this to her and she will really like it. I am not sure if I will purchase this again.

Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Concealer

Firstly wishing you a very happy Ganesh Chaturthi. I hope God fulfils all of your dreams and mine too lol. Coming to today’s review, I got a concealer from colorbar as well Deborah Milano as they seemed pretty reasonable and good quality too. Earlier I was using chambor radiant touch-up one but did not wanted to use the same one as I really get tired using the same stuff again and again so these were the picks. Now let’s jump to a detailed review about the Deborah Milano concealer.

Price: Rs. 430

What the company claims:

The 24 Ore Perfect Concealer Pen is ideal for minimising skin imperfections (discoloration, fine lines), and creating highlights to play down the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. The product contains perfectly round texturisers that provide a gliding consistency; the pen leaves a supremely comfortable, lightweight film over skin. The effect on skin is a matte, smooth finish with excellent coverage.

My take on Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Concealer

A concealer is a must-have or rather say must needed cosmetic product. I get really confused while picking up the concealer shade because you never know how it looks on your face. Plus the lightning is all different in the malls so you never know how it may show up outside in natural light. Now I have started to use the testers on my face itself. I got Deborah Milano concealer because I wanted a pen like applicator and a creamy texture. Talking about this one, it comes in a beige colored packaging with black embossing of the name. It is very convenient than the concealers that come in a pot to carry all around for touch-ups. You turn it around like a lipstick and the concealer comes out. I picked up the shade Light beige which was the second lightest shade in the shade card. Ivory was the lightest shade but that would look too white for my skin tone. The texture of the concealer is creamy and soft but it does not break while application. When you glide it on your imperfections or dark circles, there is a very smooth feeling without any stoppage. The concealer applies in just one go. Then I just dab the concealers a little with my fingertips. But still at times I find that it looks to white especially on my dark circles. It covers up my minor blemishes very well but not my acne scars and this was disappointing because that is what a concealer is supposed to do. But it lasts for a long time and does not make the skin look oily or cakey. It lasted for around 4 hours in air conditioned areas and would last a little less when outside in the heat. So I would suggest you guys to go for the perfect shade as they have around 7-8 shades so there would be a perfect shade for each and every skin-tone and if I purchase this for the next time I would go a shade darker than this one.I would sum up and say that this is one affordable product with medium coverage and this isn’t the best one so far from among the ones that I have tried so wouldn’t go for it again but it is a good option to go with if your imperfections are really less.

Pros of Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Concealer:

-Available everywhere
-Good price for a concealer
-7-8 shades to select from so each skin tone can find a shade
-Pen like applicator which makes it convenient to use and carry
-It glides very smoothly because of its creamy consistency
-Does not make the skin look oily or cakey
-Covers up the minor blemishes and brightens up the under eye area
-Lasted for 4 hours in air conditioned areas and a little less in natural environment

Cons of Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Concealer:

-Looked a little white on the under eye areas
-Did not covers up stubborn acne scars and it was disappointing because that was the main thing I wanted to cover up
-Medium coverage

Will I repurchase/recommend Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Concealer?

You want an affordable concealer and have minor imperfections than I would recommend to try out this one but if you have major flaws like I have stubborn dark circles then this is not the one for you. I liked my smashbox concealer better and would like to go back to it; so will not get this one again.

I am among those girls who are never loyal to a single brand face wash; I love switching brands lol. That is how the other brands will earn. I got this facewash from VLCC a month ago and it claimed to have turmeric and honey which are really healthy for skin so thought of giving it a shot. I was just looking out for new stuff in the store and I glanced through the shelf and this was there. I had never seen this one before so picked it up.

Price: Rs 135 for 80 ml

What VLCC claims about VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash?

The Wild Turmeric Face Wash is a natural cleanser with pure honey and turmeric. It has antiseptic properties that protect your skin from daily damage. It removes microbes & pollutants from the pores leaving skin fresh & tingling.

Methods of use: Apply a small amount of the cleanser on moist face and neck. Massage gently with your fingertips & rinse thoroughly. Can be used round the year.

For best results: Use twice daily. For smooth supple skin follow with VLCC Honey Moisturiser.

My experience with VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash:

Having a glance at all the possible shelves in a store is like the most exciting thing to do. Even if I don’t want anything I’ll go through all the shelves and end up buying a bag full of products. Talking about this one, it comes in a plastic tube like all the face-washes. The tube being transparent; we can easily make out that how much product is left. It has a flip open cap which at times hurt fingers while opening. The tube is on a fatter side so it will occupy a lot of space in your bag if at all you want to carry it. This earlier used to come in a beige coloured bottle but now they have changed the packaging and made it beautiful looking. The consistency is like a gel and is runny too. It comes in a yellow gel and only a pea-sized amount is needed to wash the entire face at once.

The smell is somewhat on a floral side. The fragrance is really refreshing and I enjoy washing my face with this before leaving for college as it is very energizing indeed. The fragrance will last till you wash your face and then slowly it will start fading off. The face wash lathers like soap and I don’t know why but I feel like they have put soap in the face wash too. It is a pure cleaning face wash which helps to remove impurities and does nothing else other than that. After rinsing it off and wiping off the face; still my face feels like I have washed it with soap and not a face wash. It left my skin smooth but not like the other face washes did.

I have oily skin still it made my skin dry; imagine what it would do to dry skin? It comes into the category of average face washes and does nothing special actually don’t you think we can get a better stuff for Rs 135 than this one?

Pros of VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash:

-Refreshing lemon fragrance
-Affordable
-Available everywhere
-Looks attractive
-Claims to have honey and turmeric which are very good for the skin
-Lathers very well
-Will help remove impurities from the skin and make it clean

Cons of VLCC Wild Turmeric Face Wash:

-The cap at times hurts the skin which opening
-Skin becomes a little dry so need to follow up with a moisturizer
-I feel like my face is washed with soap and not a face wash
-Will just help in cleaning the face and nothing else
-Nothing extra-ordinary
-My skin looks brighter for like a few minutes after washing my face with other face washes, nothing like that seemed to have happen here.

Will I repurchase/recommend it?

I will suggest it only for those who come home in the evening tired from work and want something to make their face squeaky clean and remove all the dirt. But frankly speaking there are many better options available than this one, so will not think of buying it again. It completely does what it says so it is not the product’s fault but you know we always want something more and this was pretty average.

Konad Eyelash Curler

Hello beauties,

I bought my first eyelash curler and I was soo excited to get those dolly lashes. I selected Konad because being a Korean company I think they would do a pretty good job at it. I have always had big and thick lashes so I did not know whether the curling them would look good on me. But then I still wanted to try. I got this one online while picking up some more things lol. As you guys know that online shopping is too addictive, you cannot resist picking up stuff.

Price: Rs. 260

How konad describes the konad eyelash curler:

Eyelash curlers are effective because they take eyelashes, which are ordinarily straight or slightly curved, and create a more dramatic , upward curve at the base of the lash.
By lifting the lash up and away from the eye itself, it makes the lashes appear longer, and the eye appears to be more open and wide.

My experience with Konad eyelash curler:

Have always seen those cute girls from Korea and all over Asia have super cute lashes which create a good dolly look. This being my first eyelash curler I had no expectations from it. It comes in a pink box which has all the description written behind. But no steps mentioned of how to use it for a first time user. Anyways I knew how to use it. The handles of the eyelash curler are white in colour and the rest being in steel. It looks cute but nothing special. It has a rubber strand in middle which would be used to curl up the lashes. They have provided one extra refill pad as well. It is convenient to carry and there is this box also so that the eyelash curler does not get spoiled. I placed the curler on my eyelashes and it was placed correctly but I had to take some efforts to adjust my inner upper lashes into the eyelash curler. Then all the upper lashes got perfectly adjusted and I clipped the curler and left them undisturbed for like 50 seconds. My eyelashes curled up and looked very doll-like as I was expecting.

But again I faced a problem for my inner lashes. The outer lashes were totally upwards and inner ones were straight down. So that looked a bit weird. Now when I applied the gel liner, my curled lashes could hardly be noticed. It simply looked like I had applied my gel liner and mascara over my lashes. When I curled my lashes without any make-up, I could notice a complete change in my lashes but then I hardly go out without eye make-up so it would look like I haven’t done anything. I haven’t used any eyelash curler before so I don’t have anything to compare to. The effect of the curled lashes lasted for about two hours with the mascara and without the mascara barely for one hour so it was a bit disappointing. But I think I have read reviews about good staying power of such curlers, so would put this one into an average category.

Pros of Konad Eyelash Curler:

-Affordable as compared to other good brands
-Easy to carry plus an extra rubber refill provided
-Comes from a good Korean brand
-Makes the lashes appear longer after use
-Turns the lashes upward giving a dolly effect
-Convenient to use
-Easily available on online stores

Cons of Konad Eyelash Curler:

-The effects lasted only for 2 hours with mascara and only an hour without mascara
-Can hurt the skin if not adjusted properly

Will I repurchase/recommend konad eyelash curler?

Neither will repurchase nor recommend it because although the effect was very cute, the effect did not last any longer. The lashes started coming back to its original position. And I think there are better eye lash curlers than this one so you could try them instead.

Fruit Acid Face Pack: DIY

Hello sweethearts,

Sunday is one of my favorite days to prepare some amazing diys for my skin and hair. My diy for today is very simple and all the ingredients are readily available in the kitchen itself. Just spare two minutes of your time and pamper your skin with this useful diy. I have always had a soft corner for tomatoes for treating my skin and tomatoes actually work great for my skin and would do wonders for everyone because of its properties. So let’s get to work.

Ingredients needed:
1 whole tomato
2 spoons of curd
Half a lemon

Step 1: Take a tomato which is fresh and cut it into half. Now take the tomato in your hand and squeeze it into a container. The motive is to remove all the tomato juice into the container and press it hard till you get all the juice. You will also get some crushed tomato particles and that will make your pack a bit thick. If you are fine with that much quantity then go ahead with the next step, if not squeeze the other half of the tomato as well. Do not throw away the tomato crush leftovers and the peels as we will be using them in step 4.

Step 2: Now take half a lemon and again squeeze it in the container. The quantity of the lemon juice is supposed to be a bit less because lemon may dry up the skin or even cause itchiness. I feel half a lemon would be perfect to go with.

Step 3: Now take the needed amount of curd and put it into the mixture. People with oily skin, do not get afraid of curd as it will not cause break outs. Even I have oily skin and it did not harm me at all because it gets diluted with the other ingredients.

Step 4: Now take the leftover tomato crush and peel and before rinsing the pack, scrub the leftover on your face that will help to exfoliate and give a massage. Rub the peels and left overs in circular motions for two minutes and rinse it off. Follow up with a moisturizer.

And we are done..!!!

Now this would be a little runny to apply but you will see the difference after the first wash. If you are not comfortable with runny paste then you can add besan or fuller’s earth to create a base. But rather I would suggest you to apply a mixture of only the three ingredients because they will react faster.

Skin problems that it will treat and benefit:

• Lemon and tomato acid will dry up the pimples and help in reducing the size of the pimples and redness.
• It will help to lighten acne scars, blemishes and pigmentation spots over time.
• Lemon will remove the tan layer from the skin revealing a brighter layer.
• Helps to provide a very healthy glow if used regularly every alternate days.
• This pack can also be used on the body to remove tan and darkness.

Tips:

1. While rinsing the pack wash your face with cold water.
2. Avoid eye area as it is very sensitive.
3. Pack can be kept for maximum 30 minutes.
4. It can be used every alternate days and that will bring faster results.
5. It can be stored for about 5 days and then a fresh quantity is supposed to be prepared.

Fresh Ones Intimate Wet Cleansing Tissues

Hello sweeties,

IMBB being women centric blog does not make me feel shy to share some products that are really important for intimate hygiene. As we take so much care and pamper our skin daily it is necessary to pamper the intimate parts as well. I picked this product online and thought that it would be good to have this in handy. And I personally think this is a must have especially for people who keep on travelling. Let’s see how this worked for me.

Fresh ones intimate wet cleansing tissues are pre-moistened and specially formulated to clean and refresh intimate parts of your body like underarms.

These intimate tissues give you the maximum benefit of fresh, clean wipes whenever you need them the most, especially outdoors when you are at the risk of infection through contamination of water . Fresh ones intimate can also be used before and after sex, during menstrual cycle and to tackle unwelcomed body odour.

Directions: Open flap. Your first tissue is ready for use. Pull slowly sideways to tear off automatically.

My take on Fresh Ones Intimate Wet Cleansing Tissues:

I am sure all of us have used the fresh ones cleansing wipes that come in those small cutie tins. Although now everyone is moving to kara wipes but still I loved the wetness that those wipes had which kara doesn’t have. However, I never knew that fresh ones had these wipes too until the time I saw them online. I did not waste much time and directly put it into the shopping cart. The wipes come in a cute palm sized box kind of a thing and the lid is red in colour and and the rest of the body being white in colour. The lid has a small cylindrical flip at the top which opens up and you get the tissues out of there. I got a bigger version of the wipes box which contains 50 wipes because I thought this is a must have so. There is a smaller variant too which contains around 15 wipes. This is a little huge but still it will fit in the bag if you want to take it along and the smaller variants would be the best for travelling I think. I just carry it when I know that I am going to be out of the house for the whole day.

One single wipe is pretty big in size and looks like all the other facial wipes. I just pulled it out and tore it sideways and one wipe completely came out. It smells very floral and freshens up the senses and it smells like roses which is mind-blowing. These fresh one wipes are very wet which gives the fresh feeling. When I removed the wipe I noticed some soapy bubbles but as soon as a minute passed all the bubbles completely vanished. It is very good to use for vaginal areas and also other intimate areas like underarms.

Underarms face maximum sweating condition which can make you uncomfortable after sometime so whenever I feel like that I just grab a wipe and use it to feel fresh and odour-free. These wipes did not cause any irritation around the vaginal area too. Whenever I feel uncomfortable or sweaty I use it there and it gives a very fresh feeling. However if it causes any kind off stinging or so you may discontinue to use it but I don’t think that would be the case. These are a must have in every girl’s kitty, that is what I feel.

PROS of Fresh Ones Intimate Wet Cleansing Tissues:

-Affordable and available on online websites
-Big and smaller versions available
-Easy to carry but the handy size that has 15 wipes will be more easy to carry
-The tissues are very moist which will clean all the dirt
-The odour from the intimate parts vanishes away
-It cleans the parts thoroughly and the fragrance is a fresh rosy one that the tissues have
-Tissues are pretty big in size convenient to use
-Did not cause any itching

CONS of Fresh Ones Intimate Wet Cleansing Tissues:

-It is a product that may suit some and may not suit some because it is supposed to be used on the intimate areas
-It contains soap because I saw bubbles but it did not do anything to my skin

Outfit of the day: Indo-Western Outfit

Hello sweethearts,

As you guys know the festive season is on and everyone is enjoying to the fullest but the most happening thing is that I get wear traditional which normally I never wear. This is the outfit I wore when I went to meet several of my relatives. I had to choose a very simple outfit as some close relative had passed away in the family, so being that jazzy and going out was not possible, but never mind I got a good and comfortable pick to wear.

I wore a printed zara kurti or a casual top as you may call it. It had a good pop of colors and I loved the print and the colours that were chosen to make this one. It looked simple yet the way I wanted it to look. I paired it with a white leggings and I tried 5 different colours of leggings but this looked the best and the white colour helped the kurti stand out. I paired it with my white heels. I got 4 new pairs of heels but I don’t know why I keep coming back to this one only.

For accessories I wore a blue statement necklace that went very nicely with my kurti and I wore simple pearl studs and a white and gold kadaa in my hand and my gold ring along with green nail paint having a metallic finish.

For make-up I used, Maybelline BB cream, Maybelline pure mineral compact, Maybelline cheeky glow-fresh coral blush, Maybelline gel liner and Maybelline colour changing lip balm in pink blossom. I know it was all Maybelline but I just love that brand like too much.
